I bought this ottoman/storage cube to store my pup's toys in -- and thinking it would double as a footrest was a good idea. I have found it is ideal for toy storage; at night, all of his toys go into the box and keeps the clutter out of the living room during other times, but easily available at play time. As a storage box it is strong and very well made; I think it's a good value for the price -- the exterior faux leather is soft and very good quality -- and it looks really nice! With its smart looks and dark color it is unobtrusive, so it blends well in the living room. When this very thin box arrived, I was curious to see how it all fit inside -- basically the shipping box contains the lid and the entire cube fits nicely in the lid -- yeah! amazing. It takes seconds to put it in shape and, again, I was very surprised how sturdy it is; I can not imagine it would ever collapse. The enclosed paperwork does say it is rated at 300 kg, and it might handle that -- but I don't think I would test it (or too many things) to that level -- it is probably based on setting an item squarely on it under testing conditions -- I don't think a 600 pound person could sit on it without breaking. It has a lining inside which adds to its nice looks and quality feel. As an ottoman, it is a bit too high for my sofa -- about an inch shorter would have been perfect; but it is nice for the recliner. But height aside, it is very comfortable as a foot rest and very well padded. Even though I thought I would give it 4 stars due to the height, I decided that the pro's outweigh that one element -- and every sofa is a different height so it may not be too high for others.

I got this for one main reason: To rest my legs horizontally under my desk, especially after runs. Personally, I think the pink is ugly. Not my color. But that does not matter. I do not use the storage (remove top). I use this because it is the right height, it is 100% stable, is easy to use (put legs on top!), and I can just kick it out of the way to move it easily if I need. The box is strong and has excellent stability, and has held up very well with daily use for a year. I had look at a lot (all that I could find) ideas, including building my own. But this large flat padded top, stability, strength, size, and ease of movement & location made it a no brainer to try, and an outstanding value now that I have used it. Barring the ugly (to me) pink, this is a great legrest. And as a bonus, a great storage also!

Bought these for extra storage, and they are very high quality and they fit perfectly in my kitchen. There is a bonus, my 3 cats love sitting on them and looking out the door onto the deck.

This storage cube is a handy item for occasional storage and use as a footrest or even a casual end table. The description says it holds weight up to 660 lbs. Maybe. I weigh 150 lbs, and I'm sure not planning to stand on it anytime soon. A child could probably stand on it safely to reach something. In other words, this item is not a substitute for a stepstool. Use common sense. It looks nice, and helps me stash clutter. Super easy to assemble. Would buy again.

Very sturdy. Came packaged well. The whole thing folds into the top cushion part. The top cushion is fortified very well I think made of wood and really comfortable while being strong. The sides of it are pretty flimsy, but it relies on the same physics of four rolls of printer paper supporting a tower of textbooks, so don't worry it's way sturdier than it looks. I even jumped on it and it was fine lol. The bottom is only plastic fabric and they give you a cardboard piece to fortify it at the bottom. Probably dont set it on anything sharp or uneven ground. Good storage and surprisingly comfy to sit in.

Super soft and well sized, definietly perfect for my dorm. The color is also almost perfectly accurate to the photos. Only downside was my dog immediately decided it was something she should bite and pulled the stitching out of one side and (from what I could hear) punched some holes in the partical board. If you have dogs and decide to get this, don't make my mistake and put it together in a different room instead.

I love this little storage ottoman. It was an excellent value for the price. It's small enough not to take up much space, but large enough to store multiple things. The velvet fabric is a beautiful color and cleans easily with a damp sponge. There is a nice cushion on top and as it can hold 300 lbs., it's a great place to sit or put your feet up.

What a pleasant surprise! These were absolutely perfect for filling up all the extra things I had in my bedroom, with nowhere to go! Nicely wrapped, easy to assemble, and there I was, with the extra storage I so desperately needed! Highly recommend, and sorry I didn’t make this purchase sooner!

The product mentions a size of 15"x15"x15", which is not true. The actual size is 12"x12"x12". Not sure whether it's a case of mistaken product or wrong description.

It’s just way too small and the price is too much for the size.
