Highly recommend
This is a long one, but it's worth the read if you're doing some serious shopping for a vacuum cleaner: I picked this up in October so I've been using it for a few months just to get a genuine sense of how this vacuum really performed and I am absolutely impressed! This beats my Dyson AND my Kirby hands down. Superior suction, amazing maneuverability, lighter than either the Kirby or the Dyson. ( If you're wondering why I own so many vacuums, I clean for a living.) I bought this for the house. I have two cats and a husband who's into Warhammer so you know there are sprew bits and cat hair everywhere and this thing handles it like a champ! I wasn't sold on how small the floor attachment was until I used it: I can get underneath my barstools so much easier now and my entire house ( approx. 2000 sq ft.) is done in 20 minutes, tops! There is a learning curve, but that's something you get with any new vacuum. I was also super impressed by the ease with which I can switch from floor to handheld attachments. Some of these other vacuums I've used are so bulky and difficult to handle all the small attachments... Not this one! I'm able to switch back and forth from floor to handheld quick, fast and in a hurry. Bonus points that it's lightweight. I'm not killing myself just to vacuum my house. It's really saved my back! And it was so much less expensive than the Dyson or the Kirby. The window on the floor attachment gives me a clear view of the roller brush ( yeah, it makes me accountable which is a good thing. It's harder to ignore when I can see it so thanks for that, too. ). The cord is a tad short, so I went ahead a bought a small extension cord to go with it, but other than that, I'm very impressed! I wish I had bought this years ago. I will never buy another vacuum from anyone else other than Shark again. Good job, guys! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious little vacuum.

Best vacuum on the market
This the bear vacuum hands down, used to own one and used it for years until the hose tore. So glad to be an owner of a shark again. Suction is amazing. Picked up stuff my dirt devil could not, dirt devil was the worse vacuum I ever owned and I paid more for that one. Easy to put together, functions amazingly, worth the money. You won’t regret it.

Good vacuum for carpeted floors!
Overall the product is fine. I’ve only had it a couple of weeks so I cannot comment on durability. When it comes to performance, these are my comments: Positives + Good suction on carpeted floors. This was my most important criteria when I was looking for a vacuum, and on this part it has not let me down. Hence the product deserves 4 stars and I would recommend it as good value for money! + It comes with two additional handles for cleaning in tight spots Negatives: - The tube for the additional holders is very short and it’s hard to reach certain areas with it. - The vacuum cleaner is large and bulky, it can be hard to maneuver. - The cord is a bit short. - The suction on hardwood floor is not as good.

Amazing vacuum. Beats out my older Bissell 2999.
I actually was in the market for a new vacuum as there were parts breaking on my Bissell 2999. (Dust buildup inside the motor housing leading to bearing whine, brush roller wear that required modification to prevent additional damage, as well as handle damage that prevented the vacuum handle from staying locked in place and later being unable to be removed as it got jammed slightly at an angle.) Moving on, this is actually a step up, despite having got it at a substantially lower price (99 dollars verse the original Bissell 2999 price being around 200 dollars.) I wanted something that people praised for higher reliability, and this advertised a limited 5 year warranty. I got it, because 99 for a well reviewed vacuum was excellent in idea. I then looked at reviews all over the internet only to find out more and more that the Shark NV360 was way better than expected. My only caveats to date are that it has a smaller agitator head, and that it doesn't come with a agitator attachment, you'd need to get the Pro version NV356E to get the agitator attachment. It does come with a smaller crevasse tool and a very functional upholstery tool that also worked very very well on the stairs. Suction on this vacuum is amazing. Especially compared to my Bissell 2999. I have Hoover and Bissell Vacuums, and the 2999 was better than my previous vacuums, but oddly not better than this current one from Shark, the NV360 just to keep things clear. The hose diameter is larger, and that typically means less pressure for most vacuums, however, that is not the case here. You really need to be careful when using the attachments as it will suck up a sock you may have got too close too and it'll all be too fast to recover from anywhere other than the dust bin. Emptying the dustbin is more involved than my Bissell and Hoover vacuums, where a single button press allows you to pull the bin from its' resting place. In the case of the Shark, you will need to undo two latches that secure the bin in place, but while I thought this would be a bigger problem it has not been. Installing the bin has been a bigger issue than removing it but the process is still really simple. The dual latch does offer the better seal though as it allows for more uniform pressure on the seal under neath and keeps the dust flowing down. It does seem that the foam prefilter would need more cleans than my Bissell 2999 required, but I found that dust released from the Bissell system would agitate my nose a touch, because allergies, while I have had zero incidents of that with the shark. (The Bissell 2999 was still the best I had before I got this NV360 for allergies I experienced, I just thought it was because it was kicking something up but dust patterns formed later in its' life showing it was some dust leakage.) Moving this around is easier than the Bissell 2999 as well, but that is partially because the base is smaller. Both were swivel style vacuums but the NV360 does better on tighter turns than the Bissell. The smaller head seems to also focus more of the dust into the dust bin. Going over areas the Bissell seamed done with, I found that there was still a ton of dirt and dust embedded into the carpet even after 8 passes with the Bissell. I only knew there was more because even though I wasn't getting anything more on the 8th pass with the Bissell, going over the same area with the NV360 showed there was still a lot of dust left in the carpet. The Bissell did get all the dog hair though and there was only dust and dirt that the shark was able to extract. (This also lead me to do a carpet clean though, as I have a Bissel carpet cleaner that I really like and I finished the job with that.) My lesson learned though is that even with a great vacuum like the Shark or my previous best Bissell, you may have to vacuum more often than every 3-4 days as that dirt just keeps getting deeper if you dont. Moving on, I am actually very impressed and absolutely can recommend this vacuum to anyone who needs something better. I absolutely can recommend it to anyone who has allergies like me as well. Best vacuum to date. Side note though, when researching vacuums, I did find that the Shark Stratos and Rotator options are more amazing when it comes to airflow and pressure as well as large objects and long hair, but they are between 200 and 300 dollars. For me this is the best option for now, especially seeing it was only 99 dollars when I got it.

Strong Suction and Practical Design
This vacuum provides strong suction on both carpet and hard floors. It removes dust, debris, and pet hair effectively without needing multiple passes. The Lift-Away feature makes it easier to clean stairs and furniture. The dust bin is large enough for regular use, and emptying it is straightforward. Swivel steering helps with maneuvering around furniture. It is slightly heavier than some compact models, but the performance is consistent. Overall, it performs well for everyday household cleaning.

great vaccum, but amazon needs to do better
I actually love this vaccum. It cleans my hardwood floor, high carpets and low carpets so well. it’s easy to maneuver. very functional and powerful. it’s the best i’ve ever used so far, but before i continue, I have to say that I am not upset with the Shark brand whatsoever!! I HAD to repurchase this vaccum along with another cleaning item from a store because my package was marked as delivered, but never arrived. It was an order with two separate deliveries and this and my other item didn’t arrive. I tried getting them both sent to me but Amazon would not accept my claim, saying that my account had too many refunds & i could file an appeal but would be at risk of losing my entire account. I requested a file of all of my order information that included any refunds. I had only made one request for a refund 2 times in the last 2 years. I’m upset with Amazon and really not sure why they made this decision. that portion of my order was around $150 so i made the purchase for this vaccum elsewhere!

Great suction, lift away not so much
I have always loved Shark products. They are high quality & usually last quite a while. The investment is definitely worth it. The suction on this vacuum is great! It’s not too heavy & moves easily. That being said I do have a few things I’m bringing up as the reason why this is not a five star review. They are listed from most annoying (in my opinion) to least. First of all my past purchases of Shark vacuums have always had a light on them. My last one had a light on the front base AND on the hose end. It made it easy to see dirt and debris. This vacuum doesn’t have a single light so I can’t see if I’m missing anything in poor lit areas. Secondly, the title says lift away. While you can make this a functional vacuum that easily reaches under low clearance areas, getting it to that point is not as easy as it sounds. Again my past vacuum purchase from Shark had a single button that you push to lift the canister off the hose base and go. This vacuum doesn’t work that way. You have to detach the hose from the canister and detach the canister from the base, then connect the base and the hose together. This is cumbersome & was hard for me to figure out how the lift away worked at first. It takes more time and is kind of annoying. Also, the canister doesn’t stand by itself, so you have to hold it the entire time you’re using the base and hose by themselves. Then when you are done, you have to disconnect things and reconnect them in the original set up. The canister has plastic connections on the inside that make the debris inside get stuck on and won’t fall freely out of the canister. Because it gets tangled on the inside I find myself reaching in and having to pull out the debris manually. Thus getting my hands full of dust and other gross things. Lastly, while suction is normally a good thing, when the base floor (no brush) switch is engaged I cannot vacuum the rugs because the high suction doesn’t allow me to move across them. It just pulls up the portion of the run I’m directly above and cannot move the vacuum. I’m not sure how I am going to clean the rugs from here on out. While I got this on sale at a reasonable price (just under $100) & would probably pay what I did for this model again, had I paid the original price (almost $300) for this model I would be sending it back as my previous Shark was around the $300 price with all of the easier feature I have mentioned in this review. (Lights, cleaning rugs, lift away, etc) Update #1: In learning how to use the “lift away” option I have now found out after trying to vacuum my stairs this way, when the canister is not attached to the base it will not engage the brush on the base (just suction). So I can’t even vacuum my stairs with the brush engaged in lift away mode. Which is why I knocked it down to 3 stars. So disappointing. Isn’t the reason for lift away so that you don’t have such a heavy vacuum going up and down them? You can’t get carpeted stairs clean with this vacuum. Fail

Would purchase again
I bought this on a little bit of a whim after growing frustrated with my Miele vacuum and feeling like it just wasn’t getting the job done. First pass with this Shark vacuum proved my feelings were correct. The suction is excellent. It picks up so much dirt and dust. It is lighter than the Dyson ball and maneuvers easily. Attachments are all pretty intuitive and I like being able to easily lift off the barrel to use the wand attachment. I’m impressed with this vacuum and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again! It’s definitely a better value than most- I was about to spend more than the cost of this vacuum on a new attachment for my Miele and I’m so glad I decided to just purchase this vacuum instead!
