Fit my 2016 Kia Soul perfectly
Love the position in front of the steering wheel. No problem seeing the screen and the road ahead. The clamp seems strong enough, but you need to be careful when removing the phone and not let the clamp slam shut ... if you did that several times, I think the clamp plastic would break. This was just perfect for our 2016 Kia Soul. Our state law (TN) changed July 1 with fines for using cell phones except with voice control. We can easily touch a button on the phone screen while keeping our hands on the steering wheel and looking forward....this is a good solution for us.

Just keep searching
It’s been only two months since I’ve had it and I cannot be more disappointed. First flaw: If the car shakes for any reason (potholes, rough road, bad alignment, etc.) this clip will slide off of your dashboard causing it to fall. Now if you’re using it for GPS and you try to catch it and put it back up, it’s so cumbersome that you will swerve into the other lanes.Flaw two: The hook just snapped making the entire thing unusable. The rubber pads don’t hold on for anything making me have to push back the clip every 10 seconds. This is trash. Don’t waste your money.

Easiest dash mount to install and use
Disclaimer:I purchased two of these for mysekf and was not paid or compensated by the seller or manufacturer in any way. The following is my honest opinion.BLUF:Overall, I 100% recommend this product. It’s price point is amazing (the best, in my opinion) given it’s utility, quality, and easy of use.Pros:Super easy to use—installation and removal is a trivial task. Fits in all seven vehicles I’ve used it in; three cars, a van, two SUVs, and one truck. Fits in the center console or glove box when not needed. Seems pretty durable, although I haven’t used it in temps below 20°F or above 80°F yet.Cons:The non-slip grip that touches the dash isn’t quite grippy enough if you keep a clean car—spray-on-wipe-off dash cleaner/protectant. The paddle for opening the jaws could be a bit wider and longer, which would make opening them easier. If you’re not a tall bodied person, this can cause your device to obstruct your view of the road if mounted above the steering wheel.Again, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!

It’s ok but not the best
I am sure it works better for some cars then others. On mine which is a 2001 Camry it doesn’t go on easy and does not stay unless you find the sweet spot and work it for a little bit. Also when you take phone out it usually pops off. When you do find the right location it works pretty good but ends up also being right near windshield so on warm day phone warms up quick.

Fits my 2018 Toyota Camry (hybrid)
I really liked it. It came quickly and after referring back to my order to refresh my memory on how it’s supposed to work... it’s as described. I gave it only 4 stars due to no instructions or any kinds of paper work (I hate that). It is VERY snug so isn’t going any where. I had to put it to the far left of the speedometer dome, as if I put in the middle it obstructs my view (I’m only 5’2”) as other reviewers noted. But it it’s still better for me than the vent mounted holder I was using. I have a 2018 hybrid Toyota Camry and it does fit on that dome area in front of steering wheel. I do recommend.

Favorite cellphone holder *but will break on a dash too thick
This is the most secure car cellphone mount I’ve ever owned. It fits/attaches to the dash of my 2017 Subaru Outback perfectly. Putting the phone in and removing it is very easy.ADDENDUM: My wife wanted to try it on her 2012 Camry before buying one for herself. I removed it from my dash and put it on hers with ease. When I returned an hour later I discovered it had broken into pieces and popped off of her dash. I did, however, repurchase it for the Subaru and it’s holding up well. I really like this phone holder!

idea is good but reality not so great
I loved the idea of this, I have been looking for something to keep my phone where I can see my gps but wont keep falling off the window and my new dash is a dimpled leather and nothing will stick to it. I got his but when I tried to attach it, the area is convex, in other words it is shaped like an angle, getting larger as you go towards the dash, so it would not stay in place. After many attempts, I was able to get it to stick in place for a few seconds in the middle but then it obscured my view and I couldn't see my speedometer. My son who just started driving looked over and said, "that blocks your view, thats not a good idea". Yeah, if he could see that, I knew it was a bad idea.

This non-slip dashboard cell phone/GPS holder works well for me.
I tried several methods of mounting my Garmin Drive Smart 55 GPS in my car and none of them were satisfactory. The suction cup mounts would occasionally lose their grip on my windshield causing my GPS to fall. The bean bag friction mount took up too much space on my dash. I decided to try this Dashboard Clip. It was the perfect solution for mounting my GPS on my Mustang GT's dash. The Dashboard Clip placed on the dash overhang above my instruments gives me a perfect view of the display and does not block my vision of the road ahead. The Dashboard Clip does not get loose like the other mounts even on bumpy roads. I like it so much, that I recently gave one to a buddy of mine for a Christmas present. He likes it with his Garmin too. I highly recommend this Dashboard Clip to anyone looking for a secure GPS or phone mount. I think it should work with most cars.
