Where have you been all my life???
I lost my previous full-size seam ripper, the regular 'ole thin, spindly kind, and was using its miniature replica in the meantime. I'd been doing this for months out of habit. Heck, if you're reading this you obviously know what I'm talking about.I'm guessing you're feeling guilty about spending money on a $1.00 tool that's never changed. It's practically been taught to be an extension of our hand.As for me though, I gambled on this beautiful, lovely, awesome, piece of magic. The Seam Fix cuts through even the most taunt jumble of stitches and it fits comfortably in your hand as well. This pleased me immensely, but to my delight, the rubber nubs on both ends of The Seam Fix worked so much better than I possibly thought they could. After ripping through a few key stitches, I dragged the plastic nub through the mottled mess left behind and it was like magic, no picking or pulling or tugging, just a few swipes and the unwanted stitches were completely gone!I LOVE this tool, especially since my sewing skill requires me to use a stitch ripper a bit more than I'd like..... :)

Seam Fix Seam Ripper Thread Remover
This is a very sharp tool. You have to be careful when ripping a seam, not to cut your fabric, only the stitches. The "rubber" top really does help get rid of the little threads left after ripping the seam. It should be shaped differently than round, because it rolls off the sewing machine, and the lid does not fit over the back end, so it is easy to lose as it rolls away, too.

Decent, but not awesome.
This is a fine seam ripper. It is sharp and works well. The eraser side is nice too. I am disappointed that the cap doesn't fit on the other side of the seam ripper. If it could this would be a 5 star product. As it is, I could use any seam ripper and any pencil eraser and not spend the extra money for this. There's nothing special about the eraser on this in my opinion. It's a lot better than the one that came with my machine, but I'd honestly not buy it again. There are plenty of other options for seam rippers that are cuter and less clunky while still having the cap fit on the back.

Great Thread Remover
I love the seam fix - it is great for removing the threads left behind from general seam ripping, but when used in conjunction with an electric seam ripper (a small electric shaver-style device handy for long seams that need to be undone) it is AWESOME!Only two quibbles - the cap can't be placed on the top of the ripper when in use, and it doesn't feel too ergonomic for seam ripping. However, I mostly bought it for the rubberized part so the seam ripping is secondary for me.

BEST !
The BEST seam ripper that I have EVER owned! It REALLY does work on the end that pulls out the stitches! It works like a pencil eraser would and does not leave even ONE fuzz! THE ONLY dislike I have is that the end that "erases" the stitches won't go onto the opposite end of the ripper so it is in 2 pieces. It would be MUCH easier to handle if it fit together like other rippers do. I would have given 5 stars if it had.

Love it
The thread grabber is awesome! I really like this ripper has a good hand feel, good for detailed ripping and nice and sharp, the "eraser" part works awesome the o oh reason no 5 stars is the eraser cap doesn't fit on the back of the ripper.... I just keep them apart now and use like two separate tools, not sure why they didn't design it to fit on the back!

Excellent for pulling loose threads
I don't really use the seam ripper section much but absolutely love the rubber parts that grab the threads. It's simple and fast to just run it across the area where I've used my (other) seam ripper to get out all the tiny little loose pieces. I suppose an eraser would possibly work about as well, but I really like this thing and wouldn't be without it. Note - there's absolutely nothing wrong with the seam ripper part, I'm just used to using a smaller one so it's easier for me to just use the other kind. However, I have used this one as well and it works just fine. Strongly recommend!!

Excellent Seam Ripper and Thread Remover-Easy to Grip, too!
I've been sewing for decades. My seam rippers were decades old and I didn't truly realize how dull they were until I bought this Seam Fix-Seam Ripper and Thread Remover. The soft touch handle is easy to grip and the tips wipe the loose threads away when rubbed lightly across the seam line once the threads are cut by the sharp {yes, very sharp!} tip. I highly recommend this seam ripper; I'll purchase another one if I ever lose my new purple and black one!
