Deluxe 3 Way Flat Stainless Steel Grater

Don't bother with this one. My 40 year old one works better. Glad I didn't toss it.

I am so tired of trying to find a good flat grater! The ones with the plastic edges always break, so I thought this one would be a good investment because it is all metal (like the one my parents have had for 40 years...) However, it is not as heavy-duty as those old ones. I mainly use the large-hole side to grate cheese, and the metal is bending from the pressure I have to put on it to grate. I guess part of the problem is that the grooves that stick up, don't come up very high, so I put extra pressure on the the cheese to get it to make "thick shreds". The extra pressure is bending the metal, which makes the grooves even less effective, and so on. Disappointed in metal thickness, but on the bright side, there is not a hint of rust, and I do think it will last longer than those plastic things..

This was exactly what I was looking for: a flat, all stainless steel cheese grater. I am used to using a flat grater and I prefer it to one of those grater "towers". I find that a flat one takes up less space and is easier to clean. This product was very reasonably priced and seems pretty sturdy. I bought this to replace a cheapo that had a plastic frame which cracked. This should last much longer.

My mom had one similar to this when I was a child. I wish I had found this sooner, but I had to go through several of them before I came back to this one.

A little disappointing. The heavy frame is nice and I liked it a lot when I first bought it, but the steel of the grater itself is flimsy and thin and the grater bends and doesn't hold up to regular use. Especially the slicer blade, which bent almost immediately and is no longer useable.

I needed a lightweight transportable grater for catering events to have as a last minute emergency grater and this fits the bill. I suspect with any heavy use it will bend but it seems sturdy enough that I can just bend it back into shape.

Ha ha...sorry, cheesy I know. (Unintentional that time!) This grater does the trick - sharp enough to cut hard cheddar or soft garlic.

works great. sturdy, holds up well in the dishwasher. Only annoying thing was that the sticker they put on it was so sticky that it still has left marks even after going through the dishwasher, etc. Not a big deal at all though
