Famous Men Of The Middle Ages

Great supplement
Great resource for further history study. We are using Story of the World as our spine and this book as independent reading to supplement our learning. The chapters are short but interesting and informative. My son (10) enjoys learning this way and while he doesn't read beyond the assignments he does discuss what he's learned out of his own interest. I appreciate the intellectual texts published by the Shearers and hope they continue to publish quality homeschool materials.

Disappointed
This was a recommended resource for our Charlotte Mason homeschool family studies. I am disappointed with it being recommended for the spine of such. I can see it being a great resource for older children as it seems very thorough, but I do not find it suitable for the younger years and many of the stories are not very engaging (we have however enjoyed a couple of the stories).

Famous Men of the Middle Ages
This book included quite a number of biographies of Midieval historical persons. I liked the fact that many of these were little-known. I would recommend it to a youngster (maybe middle school aged). An adult would probably prefer more in-depth information.

Informative, fun to read, and a great reference
Fantastic living history book. Concise, interesting, and informative. Great illustrations. Useful reference with dates in the contents & pronunciations of names in the text.

Timely
I needed this for school and was pleased with how quickly it came. That's the kind of service I need and appreciate.

Excellent!
As with all of the Greenleaf books, this is a wonderful look at famous men of the period. Told as a story, but factua,l they hold children's attention and interest. Highly recommended.
