My husband recieved a LEFT VENTRICULAR ASSIST DEVICE (LVAD) which means he must continually externally "wear" 2 significent size batteries and a small computer controller for the rest of his life. This equipment is necessary to keep his heart effetively pumping blood to all of his body. It weighs about 8 pounds. This vest is PERFECT to hold the equipment in the internal pockrts securely and allow his to carry hi "wants" outside. It distributed the 8 pounds well which has helped ease the strain on his lower back from carrying the extra 8 pounds around 24/7. This is being used as a photography vest, and it is simply the best. Material is soft but handles the rigors of repeated use of the pockets. THE best photo vest I have ever used. Great price. ...if this one every wears out, I hope to purchase this one again.

Love the fit, construction, pockets and quality. This is my 4th one. My only problem is that after a few months of almost daily wear it turns red. The inside stays jet black but outside kinda starts to fade then take on a red hue. Pics don't do it justice but 1st is black inside, 2nd is reddish faded exterior. Like a sun faded car interior but I wear it mostly indoors in my warehouse.

Very happy with purchase. Looking forward to buying the same size, but in brown and olive colored. Awesome vest for anytime of the year. I have extremely wide shoulders and use the vest to cover a mid-sized firearm. Could be a tad bit longer, but does the trick just fine.

Not an unbiased review.. I have owned and worn out three of these Uncle Milty Vests. I like the pockets...all of them ... ALL OF THEM. Best vest out there... while I have worn out three over fifteen years... I wear mine nearly daily.

I listed this as "Fit as expected" but it is a tad large (which is fine for me) I haven't field tested but will be using this during the colder times over a jacket, which it will fit just fine. Nice big pockets and quality zippers.

I purchased this vest for my paranormal research team. I bought the vest in black which is the required ghost hunter color of course. It arrived promptly and in good condition. I really like the variety of the sizes of pockets. As I began loading ALL my various gear into different pockets, the vest began to get sort of heavy. Also if you load up the front pockets and don't put anything in the rear pocket the vest will want to pull forward and can cut into the back your neck after wearing for long periods. I then moved some notepads to the rear, took out the extras and the vest worked excellently. It took me about 3 investigations to get the gear distributed to where I found it the most effective. I've only had the vest for a little over a month so I can't rate the dependability.The only thing that kept the vest from getting 5 stars was the fact that the rear pocket is very large and things tend to bunch in the center of it which interferes with sitting.

I'm a technician, by trade, and this vest is a great idea. I've read several reviews that suggest the buyer purchase a size smaller then normal (or you might be "swimming" in it), but buying my "usual" size was just right. I love all the pockets, and the quality is good (though I expected slightly thicker material) - except there's not one single "pen" pocket in a vest that's labled for "travel". Even if you do use this for fishing, it's difficult to imagine never needing a pen!

Great - I bought it to act as a tool vest. overall i love it as it has multiple pockets - but for me i should have gone 1 size larger as its skin tight aswell i was told on delivery that i owe $18 more for package to be given from mailman -l wasnt expecting that l thought it was free delivery it also is paper thin for a total of 54 + 18 - $72 ish it could have been thicker
