Total Control® BBQ 2 3/8" Black Thermometer for kamado Smoker BBQ Pit Insulated

It is exactly what you are paying for, an inexpensive replacement thermometer. I used it to replace the one on a Kamado cooker and the temp seems to be accurate. The dial did steam up after a couple of cooks but once again, inexpensive replacement thermometer. If I had paid considerably more for this I would rate it lower but I got what I paid for.

Nice replacement for the original thermometer that stopped working after only one year. Fits the hole in the lid and the trim ring with no modifications. It is not as deep as the original, but I placed a stainless washer between the trim ring and the back of the thermometer and it looks perfect. Seems to respond very quickly to temperature changes. The black face is a nice touch on the copper Genesis.

Nice large display. I bought it for my smokehouse because I needed a longer length to reach inside. It was 80 degrees outside and the gauge read 60. Also after it rained I now have moisture on the lens. Checked temperature with 3 other thermometers to verify. I got on the back with a vice grip and twisted the front so I could get the correct reading.

This is an accurate and great looking thermometer. It slotted perfectly into the 60mm housing on my Weber Genesis grill and works perfectly. I couldn't be happier.

High quality product. Slightly too large in diameter to drop into the thermometer escutcheon on my Vision B-series. That said I was able to install it and let it sit on top of the escutcheon trim and I am satisfied with the product considering the cost compared to an OEM replacement.

Ordered 2, both read about 10 degrees cold when tested in boiling water. But knowing that, they are serviceable.

I ordered two of these thermometers because it is advertised as fitting The Big Green Egg. I received only one but was billed for two and to make matters worse, it does NOT fit the Big Green Egg. The stem on this thermometer is very thick. The hole on the Big Green Egg is a tiny hole, more like what you find on a meat thermometer. So, my experience with this company has not been a good one.If you order this thermometer, I hope that your experience is much better. The thermometer itself may be a good product, I didn't get that far in my experience. Just remember that the stem is very thick and needs a large hole in order to be used.P.S. The company has refunded my money for both thermometers.

DONT BUY! Not precise, the temperature needle always stock, i need to knock on it to unjam the needle to read the "correct" temperature. They return me a new one and it does the same.
