Longest lasting roundwound strings
I've been playing bass since 1986. I've used just about every brand of long scale bass strings on the market. Dunlop Super Brights in Nickel and Stainless Steel feature the longest life, high end zing, plenty of bottom-end thump and piano-like tone. I use these on passive and active basses.... traditional basses like the Fender Precision and contemporary basses such as the Ibanez Soundgear. Dunlop Super Brights sound good on any bass. The Low B strings are just as good as the E-A-D-G strings on 5&6 string sets. Highly recommended. Great value for the money.

Surprising sound!
I normally use flatwound bass strings, but they wouldn't fit thru the body of my new bass. So on a friends suggestion, I tried these strings on my ESP LTD B-5 bass. And I LOVE them. Such a unique sound - bright but without sacrificing bottom end. And even though they are roundwound, they are not uncomfortable to play for someone that normally uses flatwound strings. If you are looking for something with a great tone across the spectrum, give these a try!

Good string if you like nickel.
It's nice that Dunlop makes these gauges now. So easy on the wrist and fingers. I bought these and the stainless steel. These are good but I'm just not a nickel string fan. I gave them their chance though. For those of you who enjoy nickel strings over stainless steel, these are worth checking out. So the stars I gave it does not reflect whether it's a good string or not. It's great. It's just not my cup of tea over their stainless steel strings. Try them!

... 5 string - Aguilar rig These strings combine the best of all worlds - bright
Sadowsky 5 string - Aguilar rig These strings combine the best of all worlds - bright, lots of growl, excellent feel, and fat warmth. Love DR HI Beams, but they lack warmth when needed - Sadowsky stainless blues have fantastic tone, great growl, excellent fundamental tone, but the feel is very tight, not as comfy as the DR's. Sadowsky nickle blues - nice growl, great sound, much warmer, also a little quieter - the tapered B string is the best sounding of all B strings. The E String seems a little quiet in contrast to the B (we're splitting hairs here). Even still, the Sadowsky Nickels also have that tight (inflexible) feel. The Dunlops have a more flexible feel, and seem to hold up under varied tonal demands (Motown to Slap), I'm able to dial tones that stay consistent through the spectrum. It's amazing what Dunlop has been able to accomplish in 12 years of string manufacturing. YMMV depending on your style, bass, and rig - but for me the testing is over, and sticking with Dunlop Super Bright nickels. cheers!

great feel
These strings beat my expectations. It's the first time I have purchased light gauge strings anticipating a loss of low end frequencies. These strings have full range sound, great tone, and an excellent feel. I was looking for strings with less tension as I was fighting getting around on my 5 string bass with medium gauge strings which I have always used on my basses. Before ditching the bass I thought I would try a lighter gauge and consensus on bass forums were the Dunlop strings. Result for me, keeping the bass and recommending Dunlop strings.

Bass strings
These are my go to strings. I use DR high beams for years. I like these little better they seem to last a little longer. They seem to have a little more punch. I have nothing bad to say about them for the price range. I think they're excellent

Ibanez BTB 6 string approved
I have a tricky 35" BTB Ibanez that is hard to find strings for. With the extended scale length most standard length strings do not fit. Happy to report these worked great. The taper of the string was perfect just beyond nut and they have snappy brightness I was looking for in recording. I also appreciate that I didn't refinance the house to shoe my 6 string bass.

Up there with the best!
What's more to say about the infamous Super Brights? For those not in the know, they're less "bright" and more crunchy. Dunlop significantly increased their QC in recent times I've noticed, and without hiking the price. A win for everyone. I'd also add that, like DR Hi-Beams; I'm not too thrilled with the tone at first... But break em in and you're in tone heaven. They absolutely purr and do so for a long while.

Amazing tone
This is my second set of these strings. The first I purchased tp put them on my 4 string fender jazz and was so pleased with the results I just had to replace the D'Addario strings, which sounded very average, on my 5 string jazz bass, now that bass has been transformed into a tone beast. These are probably the most balanced set of strings I have used, but now I have been left with the dilemma to whether I changed my beloved DR strings I have on other basses. Overall a fantastic string which I cannot recommend highly enough.
