Stranger Things: Runaway Max (Stranger Things, 3)

I have read the other previous stranger things novels with mixed reviews.For this one I yet again got mixed feelings about it.It is basically just a quickly written story of season 2 told from Max point of view. The book is being marketed as a prequel, although we briefly learn about Max past (her dad's divorce, her old friends, her introduction of Billy and events that brought them to Hawkins and this scenes are fitted into the parts where max doesn't appear in series 2) it is isn't really a prequel as its just a retelling of season 2.At times seems it seems rushed and lazily done with some details being incorrect.The only thing I like about the book are the scenes with Billy (as we get more evil scenes with him, getting us ready for more in the new series).As this is told from Max point of view the book is aimed at the YA range (however due to abuse scenes would recommend for 15+ which is the rating of the show).So overall this is a okay standard novel, but yet again it doesn't add anything new that you need to rush to read it.its the perfect book to read to brush up on events ahead of the new series, but that's about it, if you wanted detailed info on max past you not going to learn anything of any importance here.

My daughter is a huge Stranger things fan and is loving these books. Worth getting to pass the wait between seasons.

Finally started reading this and I love it.. well packaged.

Bought this to upgrade my paperback to hardcover since I have Lucas On The Line and Rebel Robin in hardcover, the book came in a great condition and it is fun to read whenever I'm bored.
