Particulate Disposable Respirator 8110S, N95, NIOSH Approved, Pack of 20

The N95s were small they where able to fit my 7 and 11 year olds comfortable I'm not made because I was looking for mask to fit them and couldn't find them but when I brought these I was looking for N95s to fit adults maybe a large.

Bought for my grandson. He likes to ride on the mower and the tractor with me, and it gets pretty dusty here.

The face masks arrived with an awful smell- they have a strong chemical smell. It’s so strong that we couldn’t even try them on our faces longer than a few seconds. It gave me a headache and my eyes were teary. My guess for the smell is cross contamination. I paid $34.56 (purchased them before they went on sale) and contacted Amazon for refund. Amazon said they need to contact the seller. Seller refused to provide refund and didn’t offer an exchange. I’m usually very happy with Amazon, but I wasn’t in this case. We ended up ordering KN95 masks instead and I now have a few N95 masks that a friend gave me, her husband works in healthcare and the masks she gave me are great and don’t have any smell.

N95 mask -- they aren't comfortable, but they work. Not possible to make them comfortable really -- masks need to fit snug to work. Only complaint is they rubber straps break after about 10 off/on uses. I will use a mask for quite a while if I only wear it for a few minutes going into a store. Boing! the strap breaks. Had to tie in a knot when in the store more than once.

Does not fit me well, but is better for my son. He has a narrower face and this works for him much better than the larger masks we also have for my wife and I. Recommended and still needed, IMO, for the conditions we all live in!

I was previously wearing 8210s, which are the normal sized version of this one. That one was huge on my face, with it butting up against my neck. This one is a much better size for my smaller face vertically though I'd prefer it to be a bit wider. The description just says these are the smaller version of the 8210s. While this may be true of the cup portion, it is not true for the straps. The straps are not as stretchy and are very hard to get around my head. Lengthwise, they are probably not that much shorter than the 8210s but the straps on those are supposed to be stretched out in preparation prior to putting on while these are just regular rubber bands so the stretched out length is shorter.

We purchased these to wear on planes because even though the cabin air is HEPA filtered, it never fails I'm sitting next to someone hacking up a lung. I'm able to get a good seal with this model, and I don't have to worry about the Chinese counterfeit models that the FDA has warned about as 3M is reputable. I've also used these when sanding/woodworking and have had good filtration against wood dust. If it will fit you, I definitely recommend.
