One of my all-time favorites
I remember reading this book when I when I in first grade. It was one of the first books I read by myself. I remember I struggled to finish it and I was so proud of myself. I still remember some of the things that Abigail and her family did in the winters to stay warm. Love the book and the memories. So glad to give it to another generation.

A fascinating life
Abigail Adams had an interesting life starting with the rush to baptize her because they thought she would die through becoming the second first lady and the first former first lady to later be the mother of a president. Abigail Adams: Girl of Colonial Days focuses on her childhood, telling some of the more interesting highlights. It briefly covers her later years. It’s easy and quick to read. I highly recommend this book to kids who are studying or interested in Abigail Adams.

Interesting and informative. A glimpse into the life of a little girl who became a very influential woman.
The author takes you on a journey through "Nabby's" life. While at first a rocky beginning, Abigail is given an opportunity to grow and develop into a young lady truly ahead of her time. This book is an inspirational story for all young ladies through the example of her life that with an adventurous spirit, the right attitude, and perseverance, each person has the ability to impact lives with whom they come in contact day in and day out. It is a perfect read for 4th grade/beginning of 5th grade.

Kind of disappointed that the facts are not all true
Kind of disappointed that the facts are not all true. Cute story overall, but for children learning about her and/or this time period it is important to stick to facts.
