Patience is key
This product has helped immensely, but before my personal review, I want to address a lot of the issues people who have rated this product lower.1: Benzoyl peroxide will bleach clothes/ towels/ eyebrows etc. I used Proactiv (which is 2.5%) and it bleached everything, I personally have had less of a problem with this one, but it still happens.2. Benzoyl is one of the strongest acne treatments you can use. It will cause drying and redness. Start slow and build up.3. Never start using benzoyl by just slapping it on your face, especially for sensitive skin. Benzoyl can be harsh so swatch it on a small portion of your skin and see how it reacts. That will save you a lot of time and pain.4. You can't treat acne and expect it to work overnight. It takes 30-90 days to start seeing a real change overall in your skin.5. Just want to say it again: BENZOYL PEROXIDE WILL DRY YOUR SKIN! Period, the end. It's battling excess sebum and so it will make your skin dryer. You may want to consider a heavier moisturizer and always drink plenty of water.I've been using this product for 2 months now and it has helped immensely. When I started I had already been using benzoyl 2.5% (which had always worked before, but not anymore) so, desperate as I was I disregarded all I know about skin care and went immediately into applying it twice a day. I did have a lot of redness as a result so I dialed it back to once a day for a week (I suggest to use it at night). To combat dryness I kicked up my moisturizer up a notch (I actually use two moisturizers, but I am using a 10% benzoyl cleanser as well) and my skin is balancing out nicely. One thing that I LOVE about this product is that there is no smell! Proactiv smells TERRIBLE and I expected this to be the same, but there is no scent and I am incredibly thankful for it. It is lightweight and soaks into the skin very quickly.2 months ago I was crying every day because of the huge, painful, cysts that were constantly growing on my face and now I am not. This isn't some miracle product that will just get rid of acne, I have an entire regimen that this is a part of. But before I got all of the other figured out, this was already helping to decrease the size of the cysts and their frequency within the first 15 days or so. For the price, that can't be beaten. (Some products that can help even more can run you $70 + for a month's supply- this is a drop in the bucket).I think if 2.5% isn't doing it for you and 10% is killing your skin, try this out. Just start slow and be patient. Know that, for really bad stubborn acne, this won't be a one and done either. I know that a lot of people using this are used to oily skin and are worried about too much moisturizer. If your skin is over dried you can still get acne. Pay attention to your skin and if it is staying dry maybe find a creamier moisturizer. I, personally, use a vitamin E cream as well. I also suggest products with Hyaluronic acid as it is love. Also, to make sure your skin stays HYDRATED, drink water. Water. Water. Water.I would recommend this product to add to your routine.

I thought this was great until it gave me a chemical burn.
Five stars. It got rid of most of my bacne in less than a week. Worth the price. It does dye whatever you wear to bed though.** A WEEK LATER **I used this daily on my back before bed - apparently, this shouldn't be used daily the way it is stated. Use it in small doses and don't apply it to a large area. You'll end up with something that looks like a sunburn and hurts like a son of a gun.

This product is pretty expensive for the size and didn't seem to be more beneficial than other 2.5% benzoyl peroxide products.

Works, but I received a FAKE.
So this product works really well, but I think I received a fake. The one I received does not have a logo in the top left corner, the “What it does” is different, and it says “acne treatment” instead of “blemish treatment”. Refer to the picture. So I’m going to order from the Paula’s choice website to see if maybe that one works better or differently.Amazon stop selling fake stuff please. CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE GETTING WHAT THE PICTURE SHOWS, NOT SOMETHING ELSE!

Finally an Acne Cream That WORKS!
I have been using this product for about for about 4 years now and it has helped tremendously with my acne. I had adult acne and it was constant. I didn’t have a full face of acne it was always one or two in my t-zone. The acne was cystic which were huge and painful. After I started using the Paula’s Choice acne cream the acne went away for the most part. I still get one pimple here and there but the size and the frequency is nowhere close to before. This cream also helps fade old acne marks. I use this cream twice a day; I use it in the morning and before bed. However, with that being said this cream does discolor around the collar of my shirts that I sleep in. Also when sweating and if you wipe away your sweat with a long sleeve that will be discolored as well. A small price to pay for better skin. Everybody’s skin is different but I finally found something that works for me. Try it out, this product is not expensive and might work for you too. This small bottle goes a long way.

Effective acne fighter
Benzoyl peroxide is a star ingredient in acne prevention. I was using LaRoche Posay's effaclar acne treatment with the 5.5% benzoyl peroxide and it worked great but the Paula's choice clear extra strength is significantly more cost effective (You get double product for less). I have been using it for a month and it works just as well. As always with BP, beware staining your clothes and linens. For this reason, I use this only at night with a white pillowcase and old t-shirts. This stuff is great.

Gentle, yet effective zit cream
I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. Other topical benzoyl peroxide products I have tried would leave the skin surrounding my pimples extremely dry and flaky. Sometimes the skin would get red and itchy hours after application. But this cream is actually gentle on my skin, yet works well on the problem areas. I typically apply 2-3 times daily directly to any zits. The pimples are already shriveling up or shrinking within hours of application. And my skin isn't all dry and cracked after application. I can wear makeup over it without worrying about the dryness showing through. Will definitely repurchase!

Not the real product
The bottle I received does not match the image here nor what is on the Paula’s Choice website. Notice it says acne treatment instead of blemish treat, is missing the white logo at the top left corner, and the “what it does” description is different. I think I may have been ripped off and received a fake. Not happy.
