Greenes Fence Premium line of cedar raised garden beds allows you to create an open-bottom frame to support your garden. Raised garden beds give your plants the room they need to grow in the location of your choice. Our cedar frame is left untreated, which means it is organic and safe to grow vegetables, herbs, and fruits in.

Review: Nice raised beds - These are great! Easy to assemble and very sturdy! I bought two of the largest version, but still have to add the additional end sections. Each 2x4 section holds 8 cubic feet of garden soil; 1 cubic foot of composted manure; 1 cubic foot of hardwood mulch. The 4x4 section holds double that amount. I used a total of 48 bags of 2 cubic feet of garden soil for the set up in the photos. In the Q&A, there were different answers regarding the capacity. I like these so well that I plan to purchase two more large sets in the Spring. The only downside was filling them, which was very time consuming, hard work. They're worth it!

**Q: Is bottom caged or open to gophers?**
A: It is an open garden bed you can line the area where you are going to place and assemble the beds using black ground cloth
To stop grass and weeds , I have had mine in place for a couple of years and have never had a problem with weeds or critters, if you have a mole problem in your area place wire down first then the cloth it should work for you

**Q: Are the planting sides 2' or 3' each?**
A: I don’t understand the question.

**Q: How much soil is neefed to fill this?**
A: It took me 11 cu ft to fill one 2’x4’ section.  Or 66 cu ft for The whole thing.  I used 30 bags @ 2 cu ft  each of raised bed soil and 6 more bags of black cow  @ 1 cu ft each as a top layer.

**Q: How many boxes does it ship with without the critter guard?**
A: Three boxs

These are great! Easy to assemble and very sturdy! I bought two of the largest version, but still have to add the additional end sections. I love this raised garden bed. We get compliments on it constantly as it’s in our front yard where the sunshine is best. It took me a while to finally pull the plug on this and I’m glad I finally did! Great quality! Very easy set up. The only thing is some boards were warped. Which you can barley tell now that it is filled with dirt. The Cedar is the way to go. Looks great!
