While I did return the pillow after a week, I must say that this pillow is of outstanding quality. The information sheets provided excellent information. It is clearly best used when paired with a SHORT FIR mat session; it is simply too firm to expect to it to function as a pillow that is comfortable for sleeping overnight.I've been using / sleeping on FIR mats for 18+ years - almost nightly - and just love the deep, penetrating warmth. I was naturally curious as what to expect from using the pillow. Within several days, I had somewhat adjusted to the firmness - but 3 hours was the longest I could sleep on it - without switching back to a standard pillow for a more restful sleep.I had read other reviews, including the negative ones - and was initially hesitant to purchase it. But curiosity got the better of me. I returned it only because I was hoping to use it in a manner for which it is not designed. So if you are using an FIR mat, this pillow works well for short sessions. Again, quality-wise, I rate it as excellent.

So this was part of a promotion, if I brought a mat I could buy the pillow and get a refund for my purchase....now who can pass on an offer like that?? And I noticed none of the other companies seemed to offer this.Extremely well made pillow, not that hard to sleep on, I put the enclosed cover over it and then my pillowcase, it does a great job of relaxing my restless mind at night when I need to fall asleep....(oh the joys of insomnia...)I sleep extremely well with the pillow, and actually awake feeling relaxed, which is a huge difference for me, as I am usually lucky to get 4-5hrs sleep, with this I manage to get around 7 hrs sleep.Even hubby had no problems lying with his head with it when he tried out the mat.....and he’s usually fussy about hard pillows etc...he was so relaxed he fell asleep.

I am impressed with how deeply I slept the first night with this pillow.1/20/19 Edited to add:It has been nearly a month since I have been using this pillow. I am still impressed. I am a light sleeper with a high-stress job who will try anything natural to get better sleep.With this pillow, I fall asleep much faster. I put my head on this and immediately start to relax and go into a meditative state, which ordinarily I would have to really focus to achieve. I sleep more deeply for more of the night. I wake up feeling more rested. If I happen to wake up, I fall back asleep more easily. It really is emotionally and physically soothing. I used to stress out about whether or not I'd be able to get to sleep or stay asleep. Now I find myself looking forward to bedtime because I know I'll be able to fall asleep quickly and put the cares of the day out of my mind.I bought the three stone neck roll pillow too to have something smaller for travel. I really don't want to sleep a night without these pillows. These are well worth the money, especially when I consider how much I've shelled out for sleep supplements over the years.

This review is for the small neck roll pillow. It is horrible. I usually sleep with a roll pillow for neck pain but this one is like laying on concrete. Within 5 minutes my arms had shooting pain radiating to my hands and I had numbness and tingling in my fingers. I'm not sure who considers this pillow comfortable but for the price, I expected a far better experience.

I hesitated for awhile b4 purchase due to cost. After lots of research on this and others like it I am very happy. Wish it was softer, very hard works great for short periods of time specifically while meditation.

I’ve been buying different types of pillows of different price ranges, so far this pillow tops them all and am considering buying a second one. I used it together with the 4 gem medicrystal mat. I used it two ways, first plain no heat, then I placed it on the warm mat stone side down to heat up the pillows stones and used it again. It was incredible both ways. The shape perfectly cradles my neck so that my head is aligned with my vertebra and when I moved my head around on the pillow it’s like having a subtle head massage. It didn’t lose its shape or support. I plan to sleep on it and see how it holds up over time.

I biught this to go with the 4 gem mat. I find it very comfortable and supportive for my neck and head especially in relation to my shoulders. It stays cool while the mat is heated . I have slept on it all night too. I have to sleep on my back due to an injury and this has helped.

It looks to be made very well but it is hard as a rock. I ordered firm but it's like a cement block. I haven't been able to get any rest w/it because it is toooo firm.
