Great story with nice art work to match. Crisp story development and pacing. Great for people who like fantasy stories about vengeance and swords.

Read it, wanted to like it, but it's not quite up to par. There are way too many characters that just seem to pop in and leave. There is not really enough time to develop any of them (besides the main character to an extent) because the story jumps from one action scene to another so quickly. There is no real build up between fights, or not enough to warrent much suspense because there are just so many of them. There is a good bit of exposition in the beginning of some of the chapters, but it is so incredibly boring it is painful to wade through. I can excuse smut and violence as long as there is enough substance in the story to back it up, but that is what the story lacks, so it feels like it's relying on the sex and violence to keep it interesting. There is an overreaching arc to the story and there are some fun twists but not enough to make me want to spend more money on this. The main character and his backstory are both facinating and I think he is the manga's best asset. In a richer story, with better plot pacing and character develpment, he would have thrived. Maybe things improve in the next book, and I truly hope they do, but I'm going to need to either build up my enthusiasm or wait until the price drops before I find out. This manga has potential, it just needs some readjustments.

Just finished reading this tittle and I have to say that I enjoyed it. Other people have made the comparison to the Conan stories and while I can see the connection I would have to disagree. This is most definitely a sword and sorcery manga and if you're a fan of Conan you will probably like this. The story is well paced and the main character garners your sympathy early on so you find yourself routing for him even though he's out for revenge. Being a huge fan of ecchi and fanservice manga, I loved that aspect of it, but enjoyed that the story has yet to devolved into how many sex scenes can we cram into one issue.I highly recommend it, and I will definitely be buying the next volume!

Was very confusing in the begining. Very good Manga. On book 2 (Volume 1) towards the end. The only thing is not good is all the nudity. Everything is cool !

There's a bit of unnecessary pornography in it but it's a dark, compelling story with a dark, compelling hero. It's been one of my favorites for some time now and I'm glad it's finally seeing a release in the US. It should also be noted this thing is thick, it comes with 2 of the normal volumes in one.

Don't normally read this kind of book , but the cover caught my eye and took a chance. And I'm GLAD I did started too read and couldnt put it down finished the same day and half way through ORDERED the rest 😁 and I'm HOPING they make it in too an ANIME SERIES if they make as good a book it will be AWESOME

If you like Berserk, definitely check this out. Tons of sex and violence paired with an artfully drawn grimdark world. This manga is definitely playing the long game, but stick with it
