We have been using the umbrella at St. George Island, where we have experienced sustained winds of 10-15 mph throughout the entire day. The umbrella was easy to secure into the ground, and never flew out despite the constant wind storm. Being able to angle the umbrella against the wind truly helped as well. Only a few of the small strings that secure the umbrella seams to the frame broke, but since the umbrella was still secure on the ends of the frame, the broken strings didn't affect its performance in any way. Best of all, the SPF 50 factor gave my family full confidence that we would not be burned! Overall, we like the umbrella so much that we are buying a second one so that we have ample sun coverage for our family of three!

We had No issues at all w/this umbrella. Used it everyday at the beach in PCB for a week. It kept us cool in the 90's degree weather, even though breezy w/right on the beach, it never flew away & it stayed put. No bent poles or anythingWell worth the $$$. Worked very well in the white, powdery sand

I really like this umbrella. It is sturdy and allows you to easily tilt it to either side by a simple switch. It is made with high quality materials and I can't wait to take it to our next beach trip. We will definitely appreciate the ample amount of shade it provides as we relax on the sand.
