Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Bollywood Soundtrack

Fun music, from what looks to be a particularly fun film.("Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" doesn't open in theatres until 15 July 2011.)This bright, varied, and energetic new album is certainly helping MY workload fly by with healthier attitude. You may find it brightens your day, too.Three of these songs -- the super-cool "Ik Junoon (Paint It Red)", the hypnotically lyrical "Khaabon Ke Parinday", and especially the rocking "Dil Dhadakne Do" -- already rank among my very favourites from Shankar Ehsaan Loy. [I can't stop humming the chorus to "Dil Dhadakne Do", ever since the first time I heard it! How to describe it? Just ... full of the joy of Living.]Actors Farhan Akhtar and Hrithik Roshan (both of whom DO sing particularly well, and should sing more often) each sing a whole lyric to "Senorita"; the third lead, Abhay Deol, is also credited on "Senorita", but I couldn't make out his voice. A remix by DJ Shiva, also on this CD, works less well. The "Ik Junoon" remix version, however, is as much fun as its original.Another song -- "Sooraj Ki Baahon Mein" -- almost sounds like the great band ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) from the 70s-80s. And slides smoothly over the ear just as easily.The other two tracks (9 total) are "Der Lagi Lekin", sung by Shankar Mahadevan himself, and "Toh Zinda Ho Tum", spoke-sung by Farhan Akhtar.Enjoy!PACKAGING NOTE: comes as a small CD-sized hardcover book with a regular sewn spine, 18 pages of music lyrics and production stills from the movie. If you bought the movie then you have to buy the cd (and if you haven't purchased it yet I highly recommend you do!) This is such a fresh new Hindi movie and the music is great. I love the fact that it is the Actors singing Senorita rather than a voice over, you just relate to it so much more. And the poetry is just beautiful. I don't even speak the language and still play it over and over (you can Google the lyrics in English) Best movie/soundtrack out of Bollywood in 2011

Just one of the many charming aspects of Indian Cinema is the fact that our globe is the backdrop.No, they do not use movie sets; they use the real thing!This movie soundtrack, from the trio who brought usmany great soundtracks (check out all their soundtracks), is a tribute to the soul of Spain. In fact, it's a Spain road trip.If you can catch the movie, as well as this soundtrack, then you double your pleasure.Viva Bollywood!

They could have left off the cheezy dance remixes, but the CD does a great job of recapturing the gestalt of one of my two favorite Hindi movies (so far). I especially love having Javed Aktar's spoken prose cuts.

The CD soundtrack includes not just the songs from the movie but also the poetry. The songs are really nice, but the inclusion of the poems which are powerful was such a treat.

Loved the movie so much with great songs. When I saw this on Amazon, I just had to have it. Love all the numbers in the CD. Thank you.

Not so Bollywood locally. Easier for listening.

Love the album, even my two sons who are 7 and 3 have a few songs they like...A good buy, is always there in our car...
