Too vague at times, but easy to read
I think I approached this book with the wrong expectations to be fair to the author. The writting style is not bad, actually it's quite easy to follow the concepts illustrated by the author and he's fun, which makes things a bit more interesting. But to those more scientifically inclined minds, this book will come accross as fantasy with nothing substantial other than confirmation bias. Some times the author gives you instructions without explaining the "why's" behind them, for example: "Begin the ritual facing East.". Why East? What happens if I face say, North? In another part of the book, when explaining the Elementals, the author explicitly mentions that, to my surprise, not the trees but the Sylphs (Air elementals) are the ones who take care of cleaning the air we breath (?!).All rituals start with meditation. All good here until the author, via suggestion, asks you to picture yourself in a garden. From that point on you need to imagine pretty much what he's telling you to do. When you meet the angel responsible for the Sephira you chose, the angel can appear to you in any form possible - the author hints at some of them. If that's true for the angel, wouldn't it be true for the rest of the scenary that I conjured? When you need to perform the Qabalistic cross, you need to say some words (I guess in hebrew). Why hebrew? Why cant this be done in English or another language?I'm open minded, which means I'm keen to learn new things. I frown when I'm introduced to loads and loads of anecdotal evidence.

Perfect book!
Perfect. Easy to read, and fully understandable! I’m a student of Qabalah and I believe this is wonderful for even the layman with no knowledge about this subject. Well done!!!

Mysticism that Will Change Your Life for the Better
The best Qabalah intro and practical exercises book IMO since Fortunes. This book while simple in its layout and detailed but interesting chapters is truly years of study if applied and actual practices to put the Qabalah to use in real life for positive life changes and wisdom. A very uplifting book in its own way also, enjoyable.

Not What I Expected
I must admit, I have not finished reading this book yet. I tried several times, but the content wasn't what I expected. I was looking for information. There WAS information, but it involved magic and tarot cards. Just not my cup of tea. But I intend to keep the book. I may try to read it again at some other time.

Decent
Interesting, but a little too much on the tarot.

Great book, just not 100% honest. Slightly whitewashed.
Really great and interactive book.A superb introduction to Qabalah. The history should have included its origin which was actually African. Judaism has been proven to be a religion developed in the African continent, hence why it is relevant in the early Egyptian religion. It is just a shame it suggests it is a 'western' religion when it is everything but that.Qabalah is beautiful but to not be honest about its origins is the only issue I have with the book. Research Kemet and Tree of Life.

Great introduction/refresher for anyone/everyone!
Once again David has written a book which covers a very interesting topic, but in his usual down to earth style which makes it not just easy to read but will put a smile on your face.A great introduction for beginners/those with a passing interest, but also a great little refresher for those that might already know some bits.Another fantastic read, thank you David x

A life transformational book
I found this book and concept really interesting, I participated in the rituals and was able to learn about myself in new ways and from new perspectives. It has certainly also led on to more discoveries yet on completion I was left with a sense of completing a powerful journey.

Typical Hay House
Very tongue in cheek but a fair and good introduction to the Qabala.
