10L Small Hiking Backpack for Kids Ages 3-6 Girls Boys Under 4 feet, Mini Waterproof Outdoor Sport Travel Camping Daypack

I know it says it's for kids but I am thrilled with this little backpack for taking day hikes with my dog! I took a chance on this while searching for something small, unobtrusive, and water resistant for PNW hikes that wasn't $50-60+ and it's perfect! I went through sooo many reviews and even ordered and returned a few so wanted to add a review here to hopefully save others the trouble. It's constructed well and no sticky zippers! In some areas the fabric isn't quite as thick as a few of the name brand options I tried but it's holding up really well and I haven't had any issues after putting it through a lot of paces. The back and straps are padded and the straps are adjustable to make it a perfect fit. I am 5'4 with a small frame but I think someone a bit taller/wider than me could totally make it work. It's superficial but I really like that the brand tag is small and simple instead of huge across the whole front of the pack. It also doesn't look like an adult is wearing a kids backpack which is definitely a bonus. Everything inside was cozy and dry through a 20 minute light drizzle. Not sure I'd trust it in a downpour but haven't tested it so maybe! The size was perfect for one 20oz and one 32oz Hydroflask plus a light, packable rain coat, my dog's medium collapsible water bowl, and a few small snacks without feeling stuffed and uncomfortable against my back or straining the zippers. The mesh bottle holders on the sides will securely hold a 20oz Hydroflask too, I just haven't needed the space. I put my wallet, phone, and keys in the front pocket. If you're in the same boat and want a small hiking backpack that's going to hold up I would absolutely recommend this one! Two friends who saw it already ordered their own and are super happy with them too.

I have one of these for each of my young kids and they love them. They are perfect size for toddlers up to 7/8 yr olds. I can easily fit, an extra pair of clothes, 2 water bottles, lots of snacks, and still have room to spare. My kids at 4 and 8 and have hiked many trails easily with these packed full. Very nice quality bags, My 8 yr olds is 4 years old and still going strong! They get so many compliments on them too! Please note: These are smaller then a school bag and will not fit a normal size folder that is normally required size for kindergarten. These are better for hiking and day trips!

I run a hiking club. I bought 10 of these backpacks. One in each of the choice colors. We have used them for 4 weeks now (8 hikes/25+ hours) and feel I can give a fair review now. Perfect size! The kids in these pictures are average size 6/7 year olds. My youngest is 4 and it works great for her also. Holds a bentgo lunch box, hiking journal, swimsuit, small first aid kit and water bottle with room to spare! The pouches on the side are perfect for a smaller size water bottle. My kids all have 8 ounce water bottles and they fit great and never fall out. We did have a mishap with a opening lunch in a bag, and it washed out very well. The bag is extremely durable and well-made. However, we do have issues with stuck zippers. I know they are children and struggle with zippers in general. But, I even sometimes get them caught on the flap next to the zipper. None have broke or stayed stuck… just gets frustrating and something the manufacturer could consider fixing on the next order. Overall, the kids love these bags and the color options are great! No one complains about them being hard to carry or uncomfortable at all. Thank you for making such a great backpack! I plan to buy every spring for my hiking club group.

My daughter is 4' 1.5" and needed a backpack for her outdoor/nature activities at school. Something that fit her still smallish frame, was tough enough to be chucked around in the dirt and forest, and could fit a good amount of kid gear. This bag seems to do the trick. On the plus side, it really is a junior/mini hiking bag -- as opposed to being a massive, kids school pack ... the kind with characters on it you see at Target. It fits just where an adult mini pack would so it's comfy, doesn't hang down, or slip off her shoulders. It's the ideal size for our needs. Can fit her water bottle perfectly on the sides (a kids thermos brand one), and has two main pockets, one for pens/pencils and school stuff, and then another to fit her other gear needed for her micro hikes. The pull strings cords on the back are also a nice touch for carrying larger things she might find in the woods. That said, it is definitely on the small side relative to other backpacks. It's really made for this express purpose of holding just enough stuff for such outdoor adventures. I would not recommend it for a child's actual school bag, as it's too small. It might be ok for a 3-5 year old, but even at 6 this would not work as a regular bag for our daughter. As an example, it barely fits (against the padding that touches the back) my daughter's iPad with its case on. So it definitely would smash or crumple even an 8x11 folder or kids drawings. I was expecting a bit tougher/better quality but for 18bucks, it's still feeling like a great deal. There is nothing noticeably off or cheap about it ... just thinner material than anticipated, the straps are not clips but have to be threaded, and the zipper is not super smooth, but if you take some time and unfold the protective flaps, it's totally solid. So yeah, not a universal for all kids pack, but more for hiking and day trips ... not so much for school.

I got it for my grand daughter, she is 4. She always goes fishing and on hikes with her father and me. This little backpack it a good quality back pack. Its not a kiddie one its just a little one. Its perfect for her, now that she has started school and is starting to have some of her "stuff" with her.

Love this backpack! I was looking for a small backpack to carry a few things while walking/hiking/running with the dog! This backpack exceeded my expectations. When it first arrived I was worried it looked a little too small and I might look like I was wearing a dolls backpack LOL! (I’m appx. 5’2). Thankfully I was wrong 😁. This backpack is great! Holds water for me and the dog, a collapsible dog bowl, a 30’ foot leash for when we get to the park, the front pocket holds my keys, cell phone etc, and I still have room for more! One time I was overheating and needed to take off my vest (one of those winter vests from Columbia sportswear). With everything else in there, the backpack had enough room for my vest! I was surprised as it doesn’t look like it can hold much! I would definitely recommend this backpack!

I bought this small rucksack for myself as I don’t like carrying a handbag. It’s well made, light weight. Handy front pocket for purse, keys and phone and room for a small amount of shopping or to carry a light weight jacket.
