Rosehip & Hibiscus Moisturizer

I received a sample of this quite some time ago in one of my monthly IPSY bags. Loved it, but the lotion was VERY thin. I recently ordered a bottle, and discovered even the full-size is also quite watery.There are two solutions to this.If you keep the moisturizer in the fridge, it will thicken to yogurt-like consistency (but then you have to run to the fridge every time you need it).Another solution is to add about 1/16 teaspoon xanthan gum to the lotion in the bottle. Xanthan gun is an emulsifier/thickener used in both foods and cosmetics - it's already in the formula (take a look at the list of ingredients). Xanthan gum does not need heat to activate. However, it's very easy to over-thicken with xanthan gum, so add a small amount at a time, then shake well and test the consistency. I used just a pinch over 1/16th teaspoon (right into the bottle). That amount thickened the lotion to the consistency of heavy cream. Problem solved!This moisturizer is light, not greasy, and absorbs quickly. Love it!

LOOK. OKAY. THIS STUFF IS AMAZING. My sister-in-law gave me a sample size. I'm assuming it came in her Ipsy bag, but she wasn't interested. I have REALLY dry, sensitive skin and this does WONDERS for me. Seriously, I'll never buy any other facial moisturizer. It's so light and it smells amazeballs. Like seriously, I smell like a goddess. I put it on in the morning after I wash and tone my face and at night after I wash and tone and it soaks in LIKE I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT. IT SOAKS IN LIKE IT SHOULD OKAY. And even when I wake up in the morning after applying it the night before, my face is SO SOFT. It has revived my dry, flakey skin completely. I'm forever grateful for this little bottle of magic. OH AND ITS ALSO 100% VEGAN WHICH IS MY ISH. Okay. I'm done. Buy this stuff rn.

Caveat: Different skin, different results. This review is based on my experience with my normal skin.Pros: I've been on the hunt for moisturizers with beneficial ingredients and this one made its way into my supply. It is loaded with fantastic ingredients such as coconut and rosehip oils as well as lots of vitamins. I was pleasantly surprised to find the first ingredient is aloe rather than water. Most of the ingredients are organic and all of them are vegan. The moisturizer itself is nice and light and it is also made in the US.Neutral: The scent is interesting. If you are familiar with rosehip oil (not roses!) then that may give you an idea of what to expect.Cons: Despite the fantastic ingredients, it is not a fantastic moisturizer. Last winter, I had a dry patch of skin on my neck that simply would not go away. I had to use a different product to treat the dry patch. In the summer, this moisturizer leaves my skin looking shiny and feeling greasy. The packaging did not include a security seal so the only thing protecting me from contamination (or a big mess) was a piece of packing tape =/Overall: This moisturizer was a disappointment. Not only did it not moisturize my skin but I found the scent off-putting. It has since been downgraded to body lotion so I can finish the bottle. I will not reorder.

A great product truly. I loved this moisturizer I used to use it all the time on my face and it would give me such beautiful moisturized looking and feeling skin. Unfortunately i have MF or “Fungal Acne” and this product is no longer safe for my face. So for now it’s a hand moisturizer. Still a great buy.

Finally used the sample of this I got from Ipsy and just purchased since I ran out. I have oily/combination skin so finding a moisturizer that doesn't make me look greasy and shiny is super hard! I really love this stuff. It's very light so doesn't feel heavy and oily on my face. I primarily use it at night and it makes my face feel amazing. In the morning my complexion looks better and more even and I loove the smell and natural ingredients. It also got rid of the little dry patches that randomly pop up. Very happy with product.

I found this product through IPSY and bought a full bottle once the sample ran out. I have combination skin, and have been looking for a moisturizer that smooths and softens my dry spots without making my skin feel oily. I usually put this on my face and neck after the shower. It's not the texture I think most might expect from a moisturizer, it's a little runny, but when you put it on, it feels really light and doesn't feel clumpy or masky. I've been using it for almost two months and I feel like my skin has become more bright without breaking out more often than usual.

I have dry skin, very moisturizing.Leaves skin nice and dewy, great under makeup, smells good, a little goes a long way. every once in a while I give it a break if my skin is a little oily that week. Over all really like it.

I received a small sample of this and I was immediately hooked! I was admittedly apprehensive at first because it is a thin consistency and a not very fancy bottle, but after trying it I loved it! Its not greasy, but very moisturizing.The smell is nice too! I'm 35 and it's amazing and my preteen daughter uses it too. I'm getting ready to order my second full size bottle after trying my initial sample. The all natural ingredients are a plus too!
