Best follow-up from CCNA series  CCNA Routing and Switching 200-120 Official Cert Guide Library  and  CCNA 640-802 Official Cert Library, Simulator Edition, Updated (3rd Edition)  and recommended read for anybody studying for CCNP. I found the book well organized, concise, and well thought through. Examples are clear, crisp, and short on marketing, which is an added value for this series.Note, there are some editorial errors in the book, together with a few technical mistake - be sure to download the latest errata for this book from the publisher's website.One star less for very limited set of test questions on the attached DVD - there are just two example exams, with repeated questions, and no sim labs. It is hardly a study material, so be sure to get some online exams available to combine with the book itself.

I am torn on this book, the majority of the information is great, but there are so many errors in certain chapter (chapter 5 on EIGRP route summarization for instance) it made some already complex topics more confusing. I don't understand all the 5 star ratings, have any of you guys actually started reading this book? I am about 2 months into the routing book, and am somewhat frustrated by the amount of error that is in some of the routing topics. I have to constantly check the errata on the web and the errata is getting bigger every few weeks. I understand this is the first edition of this version of the certification guide, some error are naturally going to be there and fixed over time, but it seems like there should be more technical review and proof reading for some details in the books to avoid confusing the readers especially for those depending on this as a guide to pass certification exams.

This book is a very good piece of work. It has nice review sections on the things you should know from your CCNA studies. Most of the explanations are clear and easy enough to understand. I'm happy to be learning more specifics about these technologies, and to reinforce the knowledge gained from earning the CCNA.As with any technical book, there are a couple of areas where you might need to read an article or two on the Internet to flesh out your comprehension of a topic or idea.I think that Kevin Wallace has done a fine job on this book.

As good a product one could expect when studying for CCNP-- there are a few minor errors and they have already been addressed, but overall this product will help anyone study for the tests. I actually purchased these in order to brush-up on skills that I'm required to know at my current job, so having them on hand helps a lot.

The books are official Cisco press books and are top quality hard back and includes the cds. Another review mentions errors in the book. There are errata on Cisco press site that allow you to mark the errors and they are not many. Standard shipping arrived next day for me.

The books were in geeat condition as with all Cisco books reading them does not mean you will pass the test but they contain alot of useful information

Keep in mind that this book contains errors.Example: On page 136 SWITCH. VTP mode Off "incoming VTP advertisements are not processed locally, but simply relayed instead".In VTP mode Off switch doesn't forward VTP advertisements.Same book page 40. There is an error in command line words order. It must be 'interface' before 'vlan'. And so on.

Very helpful in clearing up topics for the exam.

Esse box oficial da Cisco com os 3 livros necessários para os estudos do CCNP é bem explicativo e de fácil entendimento, mas as vezes peca no conteúdo resumido, esteja ciente de que você precisara buscar outras fontes de informações e fazer alguns laboratórios para fixar o conhecimento, estudar somente pelos livros não te prepara para o exame.Recomendo a leitura!

it may has errors, but overall is the best book to prepare for ccnp, do not waste your money on something else. I have brought other books too but they are s**t comparing with this one for people who need a very detailed reference. Other books may be ok for people refresh their knowledge to recert their Ccnp. But for people to get the cert for their first time, go get this one. Wish Cisco could lower the price of learning materials, they can get the money back on the product these network engineers use anyway :)
