Practically every young boy goes through a period where toy soldiers become an important part of their life. Some boys, like the very young Winston Churchill, are fortunate enough have literal armies of hand painted miniature soldiers. Most boys, though, will have to settled for mass produced products. This set is a nice addition to a young general's armies. The product description is quite detailed and accurate: "Civil War Playset with 102 Pieces. Set includes 25 gray Confederate and 25 blue Union soldier figures that stand up to 2-1/8 inches tall (54mm). Also includes 18 horses, 10 cannon, 2 covered wagons, 2 tents, 2 canoes, 16 fences and 2 flags. Most pieces are approximately 1/32nd scale, horses and wagons are slightly smaller. Nice quality and detail." The molds are surprisingly well detailed. Here's the usual mish-mash of uniforms, accouterments and weapons. By and large, though, the figures look like Civil War era combatants. The muskets are kind of a amalgam of Civil War and later weapons. Bayonets are positioned incorrectly. But will a young strategist care? I don't think so. More importantly, the figures have sturdy stands and are easy to position. The cannon are loosely modeled on the French 75 that didn't appear until about 50 years later, but again, who care? The include playmat is a nice touch, but more than likely won't be used. Eight grade parents everywhere, go ahead and order this. There’s a good value for your money, the colors help your battle weary project makers sort sides. The extras are great, and they got glue to the damn board like champs. There is a lot of pieces and if you have multiple kids like me, the future 8th graders can use them and the current little kids can get some old school army men play.My teen got an A on her project and I didn’t lose my mind trying to help. That alone is worth the $30.

You get a lot of figures for your money. Definitely a way to upgrade your army men collection. I would suggest getting another box or small tote to store in. They are hard to fit back in the original box when not in use.

I haven't found any real reviews. Seems some people want to gripe about the lack of a particular flag and not even purchase the product. This is an actual review.There are indeed 120 pieces. The guns and cannons are fine and plentiful. There are 18 total including the 4 big cannons.There are 6 heavy weight super nice tree clusters.Two covered wagons14 horses2 great tents12 fencesOne canoe2 flags on poles with rock pedestals58 figures are listed on the side of the box but I counted 60. That might have been done Incase one arrives broken?These are slightly smaller than 1:32 figures but not by much. They are nice shiny plastic and have nice detail...they're slightly thin compared to more expensive brands but are very nice quality. They do not have any odor.The horses are not scaled to the riders and are smaller than they should be...more the size for mule or pony. They function. They are not solid. Each wagon has the horse stuff underneath if you want horses to pull the wagons. They horses are better scaled to the wagons. No trouble having them stand alone or with riders.Each side has different poses. Example...two drummers for the north, two buglers for the south.The two tents are in 4 parts. I believe each part counts in their numbers on this. The wagon tops count as parts separate from their bottom. As flags are two parts each. So yeah... technically there is 120 parts in this deluxe set. The play mat counts as a part. It is paper and does have the name Hing Fat on it but it is not correct for this set...palm trees and snow covered mountains. Anyone want to freak out over that? Hing Fat makes some decent to very good plastic soldier and figure sets though.No pieces arrived broken yet were tightly packed in a card board box. The listing DOES state a cary case.Also there is an apology printed on the box over not being able to include the Confederate flag.It seems people have been so angry they've given very poor reviews and or turned it into a political uproar. Got news for those people....there isn't a single flag in this set that is time period correct. None. Both sides have flag carrying soldiers too. If that one or any flag in a toy playset matters so much to anyone they can draw their own or their child can. It's absurd to wrongly review this item over that.The product is a toy playset not meant to be 💯 historically correct. If that's what you want prepare to spend hundreds for this much stuff new or hundreds for old Marx sets.This is a good product for the money but they do need to remove the terminology that seems like there is a cary case when it's just a small paper box. I believe that cuts down on price but at 30 bucks this isnt exactly cheap.Small children will destroy parts of this set in minutes. Adults can enjoy it forever. Shame on adults giving a bad comment or review over such silliness. This is a nice toy for child or grown person who still loves plastic figures.

I got it for my son for Christmas and this set is really nice and includes a lot of cool soldiers and cannons. The Confederate flag was replaced with a plain red flag (okay sure that’s a little ridiculous) and maybe some of the cannons aren’t perfectly accurate but I think some of you are forgetting that it’s a TOY. It’s not meant to be a perfect representation of the civil war. I’m a pilot, I just bought my daughter a Minnie Mouse Airplane for Christmas too and it didn’t have the right engines or landing gear AMONG OTHER THINGS but that’s okay I didn’t expect it to, because it’s a toy. I’m still going to leave it a five star review on Amazon because I don’t have ridiculous expectations of a product that’s probably going to be colored on and forgotten about in a few weeks.Praise Bojangles

I loved all the items I have ordered online that was mostly for Christmas. All my packages came on time and before Christmas. Only thing was I pictured everything that I ordered being alot bigger so that was my only downfall. I'll definitely be paying more attention to the sizes. Other then that I'm happy shopping online with Amazon.
