Tough paper
This is what the description says it is. It is very strong paper and when I got it wet, it didn't seem to make any difference. There are several projects that this kind of paper would be good for and I think I will try all of them with my first ream of paper. We were hoping it would be good for posters telling about our charity and these will be great for it. The price is a little steep but I don't know how much should be charged for this strength of paper. I guess it is really worth the money since it can last for a very long time.

This paper is AWESOME!
I previously used TerraSlate paper in lots of craft projects. I was very much into designing labels and wrappers for various items with a particular theme. This paper is awesome. I specifically used it to make labels for water bottles. The paper is actually, I believe, the same material used to provide water resistance to new building construction… Tyvek by DuPont. The paper is synthetic, waterproof and holds color well. It is to be used with Laser Printers only. Ink jet printers “spray” ink that easily smears when the ink is still wet and easily streaks when it gets wet. Lasers essentially use heat to seal the toner on the paper… or thin plastic in this case.I used various graphics and templates to design items for birthdays, weddings…. In particular, I used TerraSlate as a replacement or cover, for the original labels on 16.9 oz. bottles. When printed on TerraSlate, the labels do not smear when they get wet and bottles may be submerged in ice that eventually melts-- to water. The paper does not tear easily…or at all, but it may be cut with regular scissors. While I mostly used the paper for bottles, it can also be used for any label, wrapper or document that you want to withstand heavy use or not be easily destroyed. It comes in a variety of sizes and thickness. The printer I have is a bit aged. I haven’t used it in some time. but I plan now on purchasing a new one. I’ve got lots of great ideas. If you have documents that you may want to stand the test of time, you may want to really consider purchasing TerraSlate. I highly recommend it.

This stuff is amazing
This stuff is amazing. Running it through my laser printer, it prints perfectly; in my photo I have paper on the right, and Terraslate on the left. In my photo, the paper is NOT sitting on a flat surface, so the warping you see is just the paper conforming to the shape of the futon it's sitting on.Very sturdy and durable. They say it's rip-proof, and I believe it; I couldn't rip it. In fact, I actually bought the 11"x17" paper, and it won't fit in my laser. I had to cut the sheets in half to make them 8.5"x11"... and after doing about 10 pages, I need to sharpen my paper cutter! The first few cut OK, but by the time I got to sheet 10, the last inch or so wouldn't cut, and I had to reverse the paper in the cutter for that last bit.In the past, I have made signs for outdoors on paper and either laminated them or put them in a plastic sleeve. Terraslate saves me that second step of either laminating or putting in a sleeve.I'll be interested to see how well the printing lasts when the signs are out in the weather.

As advertised!
So I goofed when I ordered this, having confused “Legal” sized paper with this, which is 11x17. My printer can only handle the 8 1/2” x 14” Legal sized, so I had to shave this down to fit the tray.Once that was sorted out, I printed out a native plant map I’ve been working on. The current version is pretty janky looking, what with the Saran Wrap “waterproofing.” The initial print, done with other Vine items (new printer drum and fresh toner cartridge) was indistinguishable from regular “paper” paper. But, proof is in the pudding as they say. Whoever they are. And why and how they came up with that saying is list on me, but I threw it in the shower and got it plenty wet.No smearing, smudging, bleeding or fading. And, bonus feature- when it dried, it remained flat. No curling, delaminating - nothing. It will work perfectly for gardening, where I can do away with the plastic wrap (I’m too cheap to spring for laminating at Office X) and not have to worry about the occasional rainfall or where I’m aiming my water hose.My printer is a Brother black and white laser printer, so I can’t speak to results with color laser printers. Haven’t used it in a copy machine, but it is supposed to work in those as well. Looks like it is *Not* made for use with inkjet technology so buyer beware.

Expensive but Good Waterproof Laser Printer Paper
At almost $1.74 a sheet, this paper is expensive. But it is strong and waterproof, and I use it to give exercises to patients. It can be used in a variety of conditions where durability is required.

Waterproof Laser Printer Paper
The website clearly says "5 MIL 11" x 17" Waterproof Laser Printer/Copy Paper 50 sheets" but I totally spaced the size when I ordered it. I have to wonder who has a printer big enough to handle this size paper? I kinda wish I did now!I had to cut it down to normal standard size before I could use it, but that was not a problem. I used a couple of chip clips to hold a standard size sheet of paper over it as a pattern, and cut with normal kitchen shears. I used the scraps to thoroughly test the durability and I can tell you I was not able to rip or tear it without first using my teeth, or scissors, or something to get it started. This paper is tough, and it's actually waterproof as advertised.I can't speak for color prints, because my laser printer is B & W only, but the pictures I was able to print on it were truly works of art. Every one of them came out absolutely beautiful. This paper is not cheap, but it's worth it.
