I am updating my prior review to 5 stars. First, incredible and unusually great customer service !! The company reached out to me because they read my review and followed up . I was surprised ! They noted that I had an older version and possibly a defective device , as mine got too hot and had no good temp controls or timer. They sent me a replacement . This one has 5 temp levels settings, which correspond to actual temperatures noted in the directions, so you can choose the heat levels based on the actual temperature you need - PLUS a built in timer for 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 minutes . This mask has a built in temp sensor that PREVENTS overheating . It is still the same size and softness and has a wide flat elastic band that easily adjusts for size and the amount of pressure you want against your eyes . It comes with its own charging block , one side takes the device cable and the other side is the end that plugs into the wall outlet . Be sure to use this block as it does not get warm/ hot like other blocks can . I use the mask for dry eye relief and it is truly helping . It’s the best mask I’ve ever used for this . I use it EVERY day and then use the eye wipes and preservative free drops my eye doctor recommends . I have significantly better relief and eye comfort using the mask . I feel like the daily use of this mask is making my eyes better . I use it during the day and the auto shut off timer prevents overheating the skin around and over your eyes . Do not sleep in it as it has a cord that stays attached . I use a separate sleep mask at night to help keep drafts off my eyes . I use this mask 1-2 times daily but you can use it more if needed because it is adjustable for temp and time and has safety features to keep it from getting too hot . I highly recommend this current product version from this company , it is better, safer and works for the purpose — and their customer service is above and beyond- most impressive and caring . OLD review : I have had this for about a year and replaced it . There are no temp settings ,it’s only low, medium and high, not the degrees options shown . There are only 20/40/60 minute time options , again, not as shown . The longer it is on the hotter it gets even if set on low . Medium gets pretty hot . Hot gets way too hot for thin eyelid skin . The ophthalmologist’s recommended 108 degrees for 15 minutes as shown in the description are not even available / possible with this product . It is a good size to focus warmth on the eye area without also heating facial skin . The fabric is soft . There is zero aroma . This was expensive for what it actually is , so is not a good value for the money . If you need it for dry eyes this is not therapeutic . It’s more suitable for ‘ relaxing “ but it still can get too hot so use caution, you must set your own timer to use it less than the big time increments it has. Overall if this is for your eye health - shop around and get one with an adjustable temp and timer .

As you may have seen in other reviews, I am also modifying my review of this product. A customer service agent contacted me following my review. She actually seemed genuinely concerned and offered to replace the mask. From my perspective, it’s rare to see this kind of customer service for products sold on Amazon. They sent a replacement quickly and I’ve been using it for a couple of days now. It’s an upgraded model with a battery pack and 5 heat settings as well as a timer. Overall, I do think it’s helping my dry eye issues. Based on my experience with their customer service, I would recommend trying Aroma Season heated eye mask products. -- Original Review I purchased this eye mask less than a year ago, and it worked well for the first 9–10 months. Recently, however, the right side of the mask has started getting extremely hot, while the left side barely heats up unless the device is set to its highest setting. At that setting, the right side—particularly near the cord connection—becomes dangerously hot and has burned my skin. Because of this safety issue and the product’s lack of durability, I recommend considering other options. In my experience, this eye mask did not last even a year and is not reliable.

I suffer from styes, so this heated eye mask does help in reducing swelling. In terms of heating, is works very well, with different heat settings, providing uniform heating across the eyes, with great comfort. The headband attached is a bit skimpy and not very comfortable, I would suggest making it beefier and adding some padding for greater comfort. The switch works well, but it is too close to the head, so it is quite easy to shut it off, or change the settings by accident. But overall, I have been very happy with this purchase, and over time, it is just a nice sense of comfort to have a warm compress across the eyes to take away a day's worth of strain away. I should add, the different options of time has been a great benefit, as there are times I need the full hour, but other times, I just need 15 min.

I have a Bruder eye compress that needs to be heated in the microwave. I found that I rarely used it because the difference between 1 or 2 seconds in the microwave was the difference between not quite hot enough and scalding. It doesn’t stay hot for 15 minutes. It’s just a pain. A friend recommended this and I’m glad she did! While I don’t use it daily, I DO use it and it’s much more often than the Bruder mask. I like that it gets hot enough, and sometimes it’s a little much. I like that I can use it for longer periods than I might otherwise be able if I were using the mask that goes in the microwave. It has an automatic shutoff timer (no sound) and can be set for up to an hour, though I still use my phone timer so I’m not just laying there with it turned off without me knowing. It says not to use it when sleeping but I could easily fall asleep in the evenings or a nap since it has a strap to keep it in place. It has a cover that can be washed and it says you can mist it for moist heat but I haven’t tried that yet. The one downside is that it has a cord that must be plugged in to use it. You need to be relatively close to an outlet. The cord is not short but not terribly long if an outlet is more than a few feet away. I’ve used it with a stout power bank without any issues. Overall, this was a good buy and I’m more likely to “cook my eyes” with this like my eye doctor wants! 😆

This eye compress is perfect! Really works for MGD or dry eyes. It is comfortable against the eyes and heats to a hot temp but doesn't burn. It has 5 temps to choose from and a timer that will go up to 1 hour. I've tried 2 other compresses but sent them back because they didn't get hot enough to do any good. I highly recommend this hot eye compress wholeheartedly.

This will be my third time purchasing this mask. It is a great mask giving me the best relief for the pressure in my eyes. However, it does not last very long. I purchased my second one in December and now have to get another one in July. So, roughly 6 months. For the price it's not that bad of a deal. Just wish it would last longer. Also, I've noticed after awhile the highest setting becomes to hot because of this I had to adjust to a lower setting closer to the end. With that being said it's one of the best eye masks WHEN it works.

Ordered this after having an eyelid bump and seeing how a hot compress really fixed it ASAP, also my doctor said the heated masks were the best remedy for dry eyes and blocked oil glands. I was ready to spend big bucks but after looking at the big masks with Bluetooth and other things I didn't want, chose this mask. Very happy, it has 5 temperature settings and and 10 minute timer for up to an hour. It has an electric cord so it doesn't lose power like the rechargeable ones, nice big display on the controller. Medium is plenty warm, it is much narrower than the big goggle ones but that's fine, I angle it to my lash lines, I don't need to heat up my whole eyeball! I can put it right where it needs to go.

My current review: The first mask stopped working after 7 months. I figured I could live with that, so I ordered another one. The new mask had none of the aromatherapy, smelled like nothing, but that was still not a deal breaker, just a disappointment, because I really enjoyed the smell of the first one. The actual dealbreaker came when 6 weeks after I received this 2nd mask, a thin piece of metal penetrated the mask's cloth covering and poked me in the face while I was using it! That could have been my eye. I tried to find a way to contact the company, but there is no contact info on Amazon, and what little info I can find is written in Chinese. Why would it matter anyway, though? An unsafe mask is an unsafe mask. They could offer me a refund, and they certainly should, but I couldn't provide a better review than this, because safety is a bottom line issue. This is my original, 4 star review. I ordered one of these masks to use treating my dry eyes. I had been using a wet washcloth, but my daughter ordered one of these for herself for the same reason, and she loves it. She warned me of a couple things, and now I am warning you. First, the mask must be plugged into a power source--we both use a portable charger--the whole time you're using it. This is both inconvenient and a little uncomfortable. Second, it takes a couple minutes to get hot, so be patient--and be sure you are using the right side! This is not hard when you remember that the blue side goes on the outside, so you are spritzing water on the dark side, and that's the side that will heat up and go on your eyes. The strap is unusually uncomfortable, very sturdy and thick, but it's located in such a way that it can't really go over the tops of your ears, and it won't stay put if you put it over the outsides of your ears. This is just frustrating. I position myself very carefully, and then make it a point to lie on my back, not moving a muscle, till it's done. And I don't know if this feature is a glitch that is true only of my mask, or if it's on everyone's, but in order to turn it on, I have to press the readout button on the portable charger before hitting the power button on my mask's control panel. I can click the power button all night long and it won't turn on, until I click the portable charger. Then it's fine. Finally, the "cover" that goes over it is a total joke, held shut by one snap in the very middle, and it slides all over the place. I gave up on the cover and threw it in the trash. So yes, definitely quirky, plenty of design issues--but it's nevertheless so much pleasanter than having to keep getting up to replace the washcloth every time it gets cold. I hope these people, or someone, can come up with a better model for a reasonable price, but until then, I think I'll go with this one, assuming it holds up for a few months. If it dies any time soon, I'll be back to remove a star or two and tell you about it.

This worked fantastic for 2x20 minute sessions and then stopped getting warm on 3rd session. I think the heating element inside the mask broke or burnt out somehow as there is no other explanation. I'm so disappointed! I'll buy another to give it a chance as I want this to work so badly because it was perfect and soothing. Replacement on it's way. Will update. Update: Received my replacement unit and works perfectly. I love the wider range of temperature adjustment than the other units. The highest setting get very warm which I love. Would recommend.
