Joe Knows Electronics 5mm Clear Yellow LED 8000 mcd (25 Pack)

Pro: delivered fast as desired.Con: more expensive then getting many more bundled LEDs from China, but speed was my priority. Odd thing is that the anode (pos) and cathode (neg) are reversed on all the bulbs I received, probably because he saved money buying a bundle of cheaply made LEDs by a sloppy manufacturer. While this doesn't impact the lights' ability to work, it's the reverse of the standardized LED design so I'm not sure that Joe actually knows electronics or doesn't pay attention to the quality of vendors in order to make more money.

All the leds work fine except for one problem. The anode and cathode ends are switched on all of them. The short pin and flat side are actually the positive end and the long pin is the negative end.I also ordered red, green, and blue leds and they were all correct. Just these yellow ones were backward.Update: Turns out there was a note in package about this and I just missed it. I double checked the bag with the ones I hadn't used yet and it was there plain as day. I've upgraded the ranking to 5 stars because the leds all did work just fine.

I'm convinced that I cannot find a truly yellow LED out there.. This is actually more orange than yellow. other than that, price is great and shipping was fast.

As noted in another review, the anode and cathode are switched. It was clearly marked on a slip of paper inserted with the package. Other than that, the product works exactly as described and is pretty bright. I also purchased the green, blue, red, and white and was equally satisfied with all of them. I've already used several of each of the colors in various Arduino projects. Goes great with the 860pc. resistor set.

I saw that the anode lead and the cathode lead are switched but that just requires you to be a little smarter before you get out your soldering iron. These LEDs are bright, uniform and rich in color. They are a bit on the red side of the spectrum so I would describe them as orange, not yellow.

I only needed one led bulb but i couldn't go wrong with the price of $5.99 with 2-day free shipping with prime. I used this to replace a check engine light that was tampered with and soldered it on the circuit board and now the vehicle has a functioning check engine light.

Wanna play around with some LEDs?? Why mess around with lights that are ten times the price? 5$ for 25 lights!!! At The Shack they're like 2-4$ for 2-5 lights. Great price. All of the lights work and they came super quick!! I'll buy more.

I purchased these to repair the LED lights in my golf carts. The quality was very good. The color and brightness was also very good. Also, they were very easy to install. I would buy them again.
