Nice, light, very bright sound
The synthetic head has an especially bright sound, but the trade-off is its durability so these are perfect for kids. And anyone can play it.

This tambourine is not for "black church".
I bought this for church, black church. It's very light weight and handles well. My issue is the sound. It give a "bong" sound not a church tambourine sound. That's not the sound I was looking for. There are not enough symbols on it for me. I was afraid it would bust if I played it to hard. I opted to return it and go to a local music shop where I can play it to ensure I get what I want.
