I used this product to replace the original LED strips on the front cap of our RV. The wiring was a pain but not because of the product. Once I did get the wiring right I tested the light strip and it was much brighter than the original lights. I prepped the surface of the fiberglass with alcohol and stuck the strip lights down. They adhered well and after 1400 miles are unchanged. Very nice product!

Great lights, but was to wide to fit the slot in the Carefree of Colorado Awning roll

Using these for my Thule Awning lights on my van. They mount underneath the awning and are not subjected to sunlight/heat, so the tape holds. So far so good. I paired them with a wireless controller so I can dim them. The light output is decent enough that they could be the only light during the night, but they are super bright. If you want a really bright campsite you will need additional lighting.

Foam tape is not 3m like most others so really good prep work is needed for it to stick

So I ordered both the white and blue versions of these and it started burning out. I had them not as well ventilated and the power supply was reading 12.5V so I improved ventilation and reduced voltage to 11.5V (I had a power supply with a pot for minor voltage adjustments). They worked fine for a couple weeks so I went to see if it was just the ventilation and put the power supply back to 12.5V. They started burning out again in the next day. These strips are way too sensitive to voltage with 0.5Volt above normal operating being enough to burn them out. If you run them lower then 12Volts you might be okay, but make sure you check voltage before connecting.

These light are the best ones I come across in a long time for this price. I bought these during prime day and only paid 9.99 for them. I wasn't sure at first but I'm glade I bought them. They will light up a whole room great produce.

Purchased a roll of these lights to wrap a 4 ft fiberglass pole to make a whip light for my side by side. First roll I got was great... adhesive was strong and held the lights in place while I wrapped the pole. Got to the end and was able to get the heat shrink tubing over it and everything went without any problems. Light whip looks and functions great... nice and bright and I love the black PCB look. HOWEVER... THAT WAS THE EXCEPTION!!! Bought another roll to do another fiberglass pole and before I could wrap 2 feet of the pole I started hearing this faint popping sound. The silicone covering started to crack and peel in several areas. By the time I had 3 feet wrapped the silicone was flaking off... no way I was going to be able to make that work. Peeled it off the pole and sent it back and ordered a replacement. Third roll just arrived and I set to work on making the second light whip. Everything went great. Got the pole wrapped without any issues... same as the first. Then, as I began to work the shrink wrap over the lights and pole I began to hear that faint popping again. By the time I got the shrink wrap over the pole there were no less than 20 pieces of silicone flaking off the light strip. I went ahead and heated the wrap getting some of the silicone to re-seat on the led strip, but several either broke off inside the wrap or would not lay down agains the lights and so there are several bumps and divots all up the pole. Now the casual person will not see them, and you certainly won't know they are there at 50mph running through the desert. But I KNOW THEY ARE THERE, and I know the poor quality of this product. The description states "Using flexible copper circuit board, you can gently bend it to an arc. Please NEVER rudely bend it to right or acute angle, otherwise the circuit board and silicone coating will crack.' Well, I didn't rudely bend it to 90' or any acute angle... I wrapped to around a fiberglass rod and it cracked. Not happy with the end result... it still "works" so for now I will use it, but I think when I decide to re-build the light (and I will as I am very particular about my things) I will look at other brands of lights. It's too bad really... they looked like quality lights from their appearance. Oh yeah... one last thing. The picture shows them wound on the roll with the lights facing out, but when you get them, the lights are wound to the inside so the silicone coating is already set OPPOSITE to how you are going to mount the lights, so from the very start you are risking the silicone cracking because it is pre-conditioned to bend up... so no wonder when you flex them down around something they crack.

They are bright. They have a nice silicone cover. I like that they have additional wires off the end. It allows you to use the left over piece if you don't use the entire roll. Quality control is a little lacking. The double sided tape was coming off the strip as you unrolled it. Out of 5 rolls, I had 2 instances where the double sided foam tape stuck to the backing for a couple inches. Not a huge deal in one application as they were laying flat, facing up. The other application, time will tell. The last problem was poor shrink wrap at the connector. If QC was a little better with better double sided tape, it would get another star.

Just want to let you know that those rope light are the best light I never bought. Loved the color and brightness that come out of it . Very ease to install especially how they stick to pretty well anything and also the fact that you can cut them the length that you need. " Excellent product". I do have some outside around my round canopy that come on at night for the last almost 4 years now and 12 months a year and still working great. No bright at all 😢sad...

I wish there was a way to make these LED's brighter. I wired a 36" tail gate light bar into my Jeep JK, but the LED strip does not seem to be bright enough for my liking. If anyone knows how to boost the brightness of this LED strip, please let me know. Other than that, the LED's work as expected and are waterproof. The adhesive is very strong as well.

Lights work great! You'll need to buy your power pack separately. Very bright, lasted throughout a canadian winter, easy to install. Had no issues with the product at all.

Liked: The waterproofing seems well sealed at the edges of the strip yet it comes off the contacts cleanly for soldering. Seems to be sticking well to melamine shelves. I avoided unrolling the strip until ready to cut, solder and mount, because I noticed the protective strip buckled as the product was straightened out. (I'm guessing it is applied as the product is rolled onto the spool.) Also I cleaned the melamine surface with isopropyl alcohol first. Probably a good practice for any adhesive product. Did not find any dead LEDs. Disliked: Every foot and a half or so, there is a splice which occupies a contact point. This means you may not be able to cut it where you need to. In one location (at least) I found 2 splices in a row which meant there were 9 consecutive LEDs without a contact point among them where the product could be cut. It worked out alright for me but something to be aware of if you plan to use the whole strip and need to cut it precisely. The light was billed as "daylight". I find it just slightly purple for room lighting but ok for my plant application. Pay attention to Kelvin ratings (K) if the colour is important to you.
