But Constance Kopp never did what anyone expected. Constance and her sisters aren’t living the quiet life anymore. They’ve made headlines fighting back against a ruthless silk factory owner and his gang of thugs. After Sheriff Heath sees Constance in action, he appoints her as one of the nation’s first female deputies. But when a German-speaking con man threatens her position—and puts the honorable sheriff at risk for being thrown in his own jail—Constance will be forced to prove herself again. Based on the Kopp sisters’ real-life adventures, Girl Waits with Gun introduced the sensational lives of Constance Kopp and her sisters to an army of enthusiastic readers. This second installment, also ripped from the headlines, takes us farther into the riveting story of a woman who defied expectations, forged her own path, and tackled crime along the way. “A fast-moving, craftily written novel.”— BookPage “[An] irresistible madcap adventure.”— PopSugar “Stewart leaves the reader wondering about one mystery still developing unsolved . . . Readers will just have to wait—impatiently, no doubt—for book No. 3.”— Boston Globe Review: Girl Waits With Gun had such great characters and I love how the story line in ... - I'm a big Amy Stewart fan so when she took the headlong plunge into fiction, I came right along for the ride! I don't read a lot of fiction, but I'm definitely ready for book #3 in this series. Girl Waits With Gun had such great characters and I love how the story line in this second book gave Stewart the opportunity to shine a much deserved light right on Constance Kopp. The story is a period piece, but written with contemporary sensibilities... and that really appeals to me. Furthermore, any book about women that defy expectations soars to the top of my list. Review: Good read - Great follow up to the first book, if you haven't read it yet, it would benefit you to read it before picking up this book so you are familiar with the characters. The story flows well, it's a quick, enjoyable, light read. I am hoping for another book in the series! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #814,844 in Kindle Store ( See Top 100 in Kindle Store ) #442 in Add Audiobook for $3.99 or Less #848 in Biographical Literary Fiction #935 in Humorous American Literature | ## Images ![Lady Cop Makes Trouble: Deputized in 1915 New York, Constance Kopp battles a con man threatening her sheriff—based on true events (A Kopp Sisters Novel Book 2) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/A1SXwZo51nL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Media Language, Media Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Girl Waits With Gun had such great characters and I love how the story line in ... *by E***I on September 22, 2016* I'm a big Amy Stewart fan so when she took the headlong plunge into fiction, I came right along for the ride! Can’t help but enjoy reading about these strong willed, smart thinking, independent siblings. They solve and resolve every scrape. Humor, hints of romance, a little history of pre WW1. Wish I kept my original copies. Gave a gifts told coyldn’t put down. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/109416558-lady-cop-makes-trouble-deputized-in-1915-new-york-constance](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/109416558-lady-cop-makes-trouble-deputized-in-1915-new-york-constance) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
