absolutely adore these pants. 5’6 200lbs pear shaped wearing the XL. i have them in grey, green, and black. be mindful of what style you are getting to ensure it is the fit you want, all of mine are the original style. the three i have have are pretty damn consistent in fit and length but the waistband is just slightly looser on the grey than it is on the other two, after a few wears they all begin to feel the same. the material is not see through, it is a very sturdy and borderline heavy fabric but still light enough for me to feel comfortable wearing them throughout the summer in 100+ degree weather. they are so comfortable and flattering, but i think your height does matter for them to fit you correctly. they ride right on my belly button for my ideal length, i think people who are taller or have longer legs than me would need to wear them in a low rise fashion to prevent a high waters look. shorter people can definitely just opt for a higher waist or hem them to make it work. i wash them on delicate and hang them up to dry, i do not want to risk destroying them in the drier. i’m super happy with these pants and wear them most days. i’ve only had them during summer months but you could definitely wear them with leggings underneath for added warmth in the winter.

EDIT! (READ BELOW TO SEE HOW MUCH I LOVE THESE!) I purchased my first pair of dark Gray XL in August 2021. I wash them in hot water and a hot dryer and they never shrank. I live in them. I just purchased my second pair of Gray XL (March 2023). They fit exactly like the first pair out of the package. After washing and drying them together with the first pair (hot water/hot dryer) they SHRUNK TWO SIZES!! Beware. I would hate to treat these carefully like cold wash and line dry, it defeats the purpose for me of having cozy pants I can live in that look stylish. I'm not giving up on them. But I'm going to exchange the shrunken ones for a pair of 2XL and keep my fingers crossed they are still wearable after the shrinkage.It's a shame this listing covers multiple styles... this review is for the style that appears in the first 8 photos. (The ones without a drawstring, without pleats in the front, and with a seam that continues from the waistband straight down the front to the cuff.)I LOVE THEM. I have 5 pairs of this style in Gray, Navy Blue, Black and Beige. I bought my first pair in August 2021. I don't know what the recommended laundry instructions are... I wash mine in hot water and dry them on a hot setting in the dryer. I have not noticed any shrinking or color fading. The fabric is heavy and opaque with a nice drape. Wrinkles do not hold, they seem to fall out as you wear them. The pockets are deep enough for hands and a phone. The elastic waistband does not twist. The stitching is holding really well. They're a high quality and I highly recommend them.They're more comfortable than sweats pants, are slightly more flattering, and I can dash out the door for a last minute trip to the grocery store feeling like I'm in my PJs but not looking like it. I wear them all year round. They're very comfortable in Seattle's mild summers. But I live in them in the winter too when I'm hanging out in the house.My only complaint is that sizing varies by color. I am 5'10" and currently wear size 12-14. They fall above the ankle which is the length I like to wear with sandals and chelsea boots. My first pair was Gray in XL. They're roomy but comfy and not falling off. I was so worried that these will no longer be available that I bought second Gray pair 2 weeks ago. The XL fits the same and the fabric is identical. About 8 months ago I bought Navy Blue but I needed L because the XL was too big. Last week I bought Black and Beige in XL. Out of the package... the Black XL fit perfectly like the Gray XL. But the Beige XL was too tight and a tad shorter, so I'm exchanging it for XXL. So... I'd say the Gray and Black fit as expected; go up one size in the Beige; go down one size in the Navy Blue. I cannot comment on the other colors. Or the other styles.Again, the good news is that I have not noticed any shrinkage after washing in hot water and drying completely in a hot dryer so you can trust the fit will hold after you wash & dry.

For reference I am 5’8”, 180 lbs and carry my weight in my tummy area…I got the black and white in Style4. I typically wear an XL and so I got the XL with my first pair. They were definitely too small. I have some larges in my closet and when holding the XL up to my L, it was pretty much the same. I reordered them in the XXL and they fit perfectly. If you want them to fit properly and to fit like they are on the model, you MUST size up one size.These pants are excellent quality; they are not see through AT all as the fabric is a nice and heavy linen. Definitely worth the price. Even at 5’8”, these pants come right to the bottom of my ankles and with the style of Style4, because they are tapered at the bottom, even if they were a bit shorter it would be OK. The elastic at the waist is heavy and wide preventing them from rolling and giving that added comfort. The pockets are amazing. I love everything about them. Just remember that especially if you are a larger size and carry your weight in your tummy, you want to size up one size.

Do I love these? Yes! I am 5'5", 130 lbs., pear-shaped, a size 8 in Sonoma jeans. I ordered a size medium and they fit me exactly like the listing photos depict. I would note that I purchased these (beige) and a pair of army green in the same style. The army green fit tighter so I returned them. Another thing I'd note is that from the listing photos and because they are supposed to be 80% linen, I expected them to be lightweight. They are not. I do notice now that the description states they are mid-weight. I'm glad I missed that part because if I'd seen it I wouldn't have ordered them. And I'm so happy I did. They will be great for spring and fall, but I expect they might be too heavy/hot to wear out and about during the hotter summer months. Although, the baggy style might lend to a cooler feel.

I bought these in both small and medium because I wasn't sure which size would be better. Both fit me (I am 5'3" and usually size 4-6), though the small would've been the better choice had I kept either pair. I elected to return them both, thought, because the shape of this cut wasn't right for me. I thought the shape was cute on the people in the pictures (both reviewers and the model), but when I saw them on myself, that pooling and bulging at the bottom didn't look right to me. I think a more classic cut is better suited to me. That said, the pants are super comfortable. The fabric isn't sheer at all and is of a good weight (not super lightweight). The color is great, too. I suggest trying them; you may love them and find they suit you.

These are everything I hoped they'd be. I have only worn the Charcoal coloured pants so far and absolutely love them they fit perfectly with a bit of length. Arrived Quickly!I bought the XXL because I have a "chunky" female figure (5' 6" and 200 lbs... mostly spare tire around the middle with slightly stocky legs) The elastic waist means that as I lose weight they will still be wearable.

Amazon's sizing suggestions are way off for these pants - I'll never get them on. At a glance, the pants aren't bad but are quite small and short. The fabric is pretty thin as well - you can see light through it. If you just want a light pair of wide-leg pants for summer, these are OK.

These are nice. Relaxed fit. I'm 155 trying g lose 10lbs. They will be just a little bit loose fit. Love them in black. Nice summer material. GREAT PANTS!
