My plants are thriving in very short time. If you're not familiar with bare root plants, they need some special care at first. Follow the directions and you should do fine. I received 27 plants, two more than ordered, and all are thriving in just 10 days. I won't be able to comment on the berries until next spring.

I ordered a package of 25 plants. They sent several extra, which I appreciated, and overall, I only lost 3 or 4 plants. Having previously murdered a few plants that arrived too early for me to plant them, sadly, I was more than ready for these guys to arrive! They had bare roots which were dry and sandy, but not dried out. I wasn't prepared for how much room these need, so I did need a few extra days to prepare an extra bed. To keep them fresh, I suspended the ones I couldn't plant immediately in a glass of water, allowing just the tips of their roots to be in the water. That way, they got a drink, but I didn't rot the roots or drown the plants. It worked well! As soon as they were in the ground, they went nuts! Trying to flower and sending out runners! These guys wanted to get to work! But since it was late in the season, I followed orders and pinched off flowers and runners, and the plants have grown beautifully. I'm looking forward to next June and enjoying their berries!

Planted them the same day I received them planted them like have for years. Didn't grow at all!!!!

I received my bare root plants on Wednesday but the planter I ordered wasn't in yet. So, rather than keeping the plants in the plastic, I did what I call "healed them over". Took a shallow bin filled it with sand; laid the plants out on top of the sand and then tossed loose dirt on top. Left it on my potting table outside. I live in Florida and new they would get "watered". Two days later when my planter arrived, I went out to plant them and wow! So, many of them had already sprouted leaves and perked up. Very pleased. These were thick, long roots -- 25 of them. The 3 or 4 that weren't thick, I considered their bonus plants that they promised and I fully expect these will develop and mature fine too. So, I'm not sure about how much they'll fruit, etc but as far as taking a chance on bareroot -- these were wonderful.

Sorry for the late review I have to make sure they all growth healthy then I left my review. Roots came in healthy and moisture and thanks for 3 extra roots for in case. I saw them grew so healthy and all the baby leaves came out then made me and my daughter so exciting. I already bought a bulk of pine straw to cover on the top of the soil to keep it warm and moisture during winter since I am living in NJ. Happy with the how they grown

Everything they said about these really to plant strawberry bulbs? Runners? Whatever. If you do what they say, 30% sand, lay them out on a mound of it. Cover the roots with more soil mix, they all grow. Every one of them. I couldn’t even use all of the plants they gave me. I planted them at sundown, and by morning, there were signs of life, and new leaf growth. Pics attached after only 18 hours of planting.Update: after just over one week, one of them is already budding. I am going to pick the buds to promote root growth, but this is amazing. 8 day photo uploaded.
