Great toy
We have had this toy for a year now and it has held up remarkably well. The first one arrived damaged in the box, but I was able to return it and instead of exchanging it (took too long as it was for my daughter's birthday), I returned it and bought it again. My daughter has played a lot with it and usually drives it around by putting her hands on it and "pushing" down a bit while driving and it has handled that well. As other reviewers have said, the doors are prone to pop off. I think they are probably designed this way so that they don't just break. My daughter was 3 when she got it and I don't know that I would recommend it for younger than that age. I have had to put a bit of superglue on one door joint that cracked but considering the wear and tear this toy has taken, I don't think that was a big deal. If you have a kid that will be frustrated by toys sliding around in it, be aware that they will. It does not have seatbelts or click-in spots for the people so they often slide around and out of their seats. Overall, for the price, this has been a great toy!

2.5 year old loves it!
My daughter had all the people but nothing to cart them around in. She LOVES the van. She drives it all over the house picking up her people. The doors have come off once or twice, but she's pretty rough with toys so I am not surprised. They snap right back on and it's not a problem. She loves the horn and music. It has been her favorite toy for at least a week which is quite a long time at her age!

Pretty cool, but this Fisher Price Family Minivan is ...
Barbie Cars? Pretty cool, but this Fisher Price Family Minivan is really awesome! Very real, easy open doors and great seats for the 'family' to travel in. Fisher Price is the best. My wife and I were blessed with 4 girls, and each of them grew up playing house and interacting with their Fisher Price imaginary world of friends, furniture and so many other accessories. Sturdy, cute and great replicas of the real deal for little ones to enjoy. The girls are all grown now, married and children of their own that have grown up with Fisher Price. This purchase was for a two-year old grand baby, Lua! She is 'my' wonder child and she will only get the best from her 'Papa'. And, that's Fisher Price! You should see her imagination at work, it will melt you. . . :)

Cute and fun, but easily broken by a one year old
My daughters were so excited when they got this van to match their dollhouse. (girls ages 1 and 4) My 1 and a half year old was opening and shutting the doors and putting the family into their van. The door kept falling off. When we checked it, the hinge was broken. I'm not sure if it came that way, or if she broke it, but we were watching her the entire time, and she was not doing anything overly rough or inappropriate with it, so we think the hinge design is just not very good. It made me sad though, because it is really cute and plays fun music. I will probably look for something else that is more sturdy.

Great Loving Family Minivan
My granddaughters love this minivan that goes with the Loving Family Doll House. It is very nice, though there is sometimes a little bit of a problem with the door coming off. I told them to be careful with it and so far it has not come off again. It holds the family, not just 2 people, so it is very nice. It's high quality and sturdy and the sounds are good. Kids love it. It was a good price on Amazon as well.

Good from far......
At first glance, this toy is great. In practicality and use, the loving family min-van seems to diminish in value. The item states that the van can seat 6 family members. What they really mean is, two adults, 2 babies and two children. The van cannot seat the size dolls that are in use for this doll house in any configuration other than the one I mentioned. That is a bit misleading. Now, take this next comment with a grain of salt. Every toy I buy, I buy for all my children. I have 3 children, 8 year old girl, 6 year old boy and 4 year old girl. Now, you may say that this toy was intended for the girls but believe it or not, my 6 year old boy shows interest in it as well. Now, my boy is a little big rougher on his toys than the girls(when they're not fighting to play with something). Having said that, in the first 10 minutes of play, the doors were off the vehicle. They snap back in but you have to be EXTREMELY gentle with the doors as they come off easily. The van is overall a good item to teach kids about vehicle safety and family fun. It's nice especially when I'm trying to explain to them how it feels when we have to load up the real van to go on vacation. They keep telling me there is no room and I told them that I feel the same way when we go on vacation (no room with bags and all). Anyhow, the fisher price loving family minivan is a good buy but should be a little cheaper in price, considering the above mentioned. The body of the vehicle is hefty and not flimsy at all. The doors are a bit too "sensitive", as they come off as the kids are trying to load the van with people, groceries, family pet, ..etc. All in all, a good buy.

My son loves it, even if the people do not fit
This is perfect for my son. It's a push-car that makes music and sound--what more could we ask for? I gave 3 stars because, which the car comes with a family, the people don't actually fit in the seats. The family seems to be an afterthought because they don't actually stay in their seats--everything just slides around. Luckily, my son does not care about the people, but if you have a kid that wants to drive a family around he or she may be a little disappointed. You will also see some comments about how easily the doors pop off. I'm not sure what I think about this "feature", but they do pop off with just a little force. And, if you've got a little one who likes to take the doors off, eventually, the doors will become easier and easier to pop off. My son never takes the doors off intentionally, but they do sometimes pop off if he gets a little aggressive. His playmate, however, loves to pull the doors off, so we just try to keep the car out of her reach because my son would be very upset if the doors started to fall off on their own!

FP Loving family mad daughter loves it! Easy to get the people in and out, including the babies. Rolls smoothly. Doesn't feel flimsy like many modern plastic offerings. Interactive music.
