Radar Mount Mirror Mount Bracket + Direct Wire Power Cord for Escort 9500ix X50 8500 (3001201)

This bracket works nice. I wasn't sure because someone else said it was a problem with the cars nav. system . Something about the wires for the nav.going down the mirror stem. I have a G35 with nav. and there isn't any problem with the escort or the nav.system. The mount works nicely,its easy to mount and its secure. I liked it so much I ordered another for my truck. Its great not having any stupid suction cups that fall off the windshield,or dash mounts on uneven dashboards. Its always there ready to use. Just slip the unit in and go. And the price I paid for two is equal to one blendmount. I highly recommend this mount.

Great quality, easy to install and plenty of adjustment available for just about any setup. The main reason for getting it was to replace a suction cup mount which not only would fall, particularly in cold temperatures, but would be in the sun and get the detector very hot. With this new support, It has some shade from the mirror and I can direct the vent on the radar detector to keep it cool on hot days. However, make sure that the mirror supports application. On a Mazda CX-7 it works great, I can not see how I'd install it on a BMW 650 though, because of the size and plastic cover on the back of the mirror. It might be possible, but do your homework before ordering it. The mount itself is great and it is virtually invisible when the detector is not on it.

The mirror mount looks good and the position of the detector is good. The mount however does not hold the weight of the detector well and the portion of the mount that is supposed to hold the detector in place does not do it's job, it allows the detector to slide off. It also allowed the detector to rattle a lot which is very distracting and annoying when driving. I am dissapointed in the product.

"Anti-rattle detector clip"? HAHAHA!My Escort 8500 rattles/vibrates so much with this it is driving me crazy.When I touch the detector with my hand it will stop. The mount part seems sturdy, but the clip is the part causing the vibrating.I used some electrical tape around the clip where it inserts into the detector which helped significantly to dampen the resonances, but it still does it.

Is a bit of a pain to set up, but once it is it is a fantastic way to hang your detector.

I ended up not using the DirectWire power cord but instead bought a MirrorTap which was super easy and prevented me from having to splice into cables. But the radar bracket works very well! I can't complain. It does a great job of holding my radar detector steady. It's very nice not having to deal with the dang suction cups on the window anymore. Using it on my 2011 Hyundai Genesis Sedan. Very happy with it.

Good product for simplification. Kind of pricey for what it is though.

it's clean, but you have to check back of your room mirror to make sure u have space to put this on.
