Best book on Mould Lofting
In 1989,I bought this book at the Armchair Sailor Book store in Charleston S.C. Ever since that time, I still consider this book the ABC of mould lofting. In the case of Sailing yachts, some additional examples must be sought from other sources to make this a complete book for Lofting a set of lines plans. With the advent of 3-CAD, the exercise of checking a lines plan for fairness may be practised using basic techniques as described in the book. This book goes beyond fairing Hulls and has examples to other applications such as Steel ship building and Aircraft skins.

Complete outdated snore-fest
I bought this book as part of a boat design class. Everything in this book was state of the art during WWII, but can be replaced with about 2 hours of CAD instruction. Also, I've actually lofted and built quite a few boats, and the methods used here make a fairly simple and straight-forward process seem incredibly complicated. Good cure for insomnia.

Outdated
I wonder if anybody still uses methods from the book. Maybe it was good 40 years ago but today it is outdated - both in content and style.I wouldn't buy it again.
