1 Year and Still Works Like New
Initial Use: I don't specifically check how many I put in; depending on my load size or other factors, I toss in all six to keep them consistent and replace all of them equally. I bought these to reduce the need to buy dryer sheets due to allergies, cost, and environmental concerns; it just feels wasteful to dispose of so many dryer sheets. I don't put essential oils on them, but you can if you wish to add some scent. However, I use them as it is for consistency. They do make a little sound in the dryer, but that is to be expected. In terms of drying time, they have significantly reduced the drying time of most of my clothes and items, while also effectively reducing static, comparable to the effect of a dryer sheet. It is easier to find these dryer balls because I can feel them, in case they get stuck in your clothes, compared to dryer sheets, which can be challenging to locate. It's significantly better than dryer sheets in almost every way possible. At the end of the day, you will need to find these dryer sheets in your clothes, just as you would see the dryer balls, but this time, you can reuse them. The initial price to buy these is not an excuse not to buy them, as dryer balls are only slightly more expensive than dryer sheets, ranging from $5 to $10. You'll save money in just a few months. The company is ethical in its production practices, and the individuals who make them are paid a livable wage, which is fantastic. But overall, the durability is excellent so far, with no signs of shedding. I plan to continue using these for at least 2-3 more years, as I have a considerable amount of laundry to dry regularly. Store these in a mesh bag or a well-ventilated area to prevent mold buildup. Overall Impressions: If you haven't used these yet, please do so; they are a massive game-changer in the long term!

Love these dryer balls.
This is the first time I’ve tried wool dryer balls so I didn’t know know what to expect. I really like them. Takes less time to dry a load of laundry and they do not have static. Highly recommend.

10 year life span!
According to Amazon, I bought these in March of 2016. I am JUST NOW replacing them. After almost10 years, the outside of a few of them are coming apart. They still work great but I figured it was time to let these guys retire. I don't recall any smell when I first bought them so I just put them in the dryer. Frankly, I'm amazed we didn't lose any of them over the years. We keep all 6 in the dryer and just plop the wet clothes on top and start the dryer. I noticed an immediate difference with lint, wrinkles, and static. At the same time, I also switched to fragrance and dye free detergents and replaced fabric softener with vinegar. My clothes look, feel, and smell soft, clean, and fresh. I can tell an immediate difference when I visited family and did my laundry there.

Washing beforehand eliminates sheep odor and lint.
Absolutely Wash These! You won't regret it. I couldn't wait for these to arrive. I'd been coveting them for months. I had a few bottles of essential oils knocking around in my dresser drawer that were about to pass their prime. It was the perfect time to order my very own wool dryer balls and finish off my almost expired bottles of essential oils. First impressions: No amount of essential oil was going to mask the distinct odor of sheep; I was heartbroken. I did a little research (ok... maybe more than a little) and learned that the odor was typical and would fade in time. In time? I wasn't about to dry load after load waiting for the scent of fleur de fleece to subside. I took a chance and threw them in the washing machine - best idea ever (wish it was mine)! After three washes with hot water and detergent they were significantly better. I was afraid washing them may ruin them, but it didn't. I made a blend of lemon oil, lavender oil, and a little distilled water in a spray bottle and generously sprayed them before tossing them in the dryer with some towels. Hallelujah! The sheep-stink was gone, but I could barely detect my lavender-lemon blend. I put away the spray bottle and drop by drop I added the oils directly to the wool balls. To be exact, 9 drops lavender and 10 drops lemon per wool ball. I placed them in a large glass jar and let them marinate for a few hours. I'm on my fifth load and my laundry still smells amazing. I haven't even removed the wool balls from the dryer. I just let all six of them hang out waiting for the next load of wet laundry. My other concern was whether or not my darks would be covered in wool lint; a couple of reviews had me worried. I just dried my first load of darks and I'm thrilled to say there is no wool lint on any of my very-emo-daughter's clothing. I never would have heard the end of that. I think washing the wool balls first prevented them from shedding lint. Overall, I'm pretty happy with these. They truly do cut down on drying time and I'm not having any static cling issues. If you do have static cling you could attach a safety pin to one of the wool balls or throw in a waded up ball of foil. Just don't over dry your laundry and the static should ease up. I'm anxious to try another blend. Don't you just love fresh scented laundry? Breathe it in... *eyes roll back and lids flutter* ...aahhhhh Best wishes to anyone who does their family's laundry! You're a Superwoman! Or a Superman! Or a Superperson! (Update) It has been two weeks and I'm still happy with my sheep wool balls. I've added a couple photos so you can see how they're holding up. The wool balls are discolored from essential oils, but I expected that. Additionally, in my sincerest attempt to sound humble... what's with the tennis balls? I thought the main idea of wool balls was to cut down drying time and ditch the dryer sheets containing chemicals. Tennis balls are made from rubber and a thin layer of wool (sometimes nylon). That doesn't seem like enough wool to aid in drying. Besides, I wouldn't want hot rubber in my dryer with my laundry. Maybe I'm wrong; perhaps I'm missing something? I'd much rather shell out a few more bucks for 100% wool (solely wool). I just may eat ALL my words before long. It looks like some folks wool balls are unraveling? Drat. (Update #2 - I know, I'm a nerd) It's been nearly six months and they're still going strong! Occasionally, I toss them in the washing machine to keep our darks lint free. They're keeping their shape and doing their job.

Great Dryer Balls
I use these wool balls consistently. They worked great in removing wrinkles, most static and most of all dog/cat hair from our clothes. Towels come out fluffier as well.

They help with even drying.
I have had these for a couple of years now. They have held up quite well and are great in my dryer. Occasionally they hide in my laundry but are ready to locate :->. They are worth the money and help with drying my clothing equally.

Works great!!!
So far these are pretty cool. We have 2 larger breed dogs and the hair is a lot, that being said, these tone it way down and it has been very nice.

I brought jar, echo friendly wool tumble dryer balls after being highly recommended them by one of my friends. I have tried tumble dryer balls in the past but love the fact these ones are organic and cruelty free and come with a free lavender oil that makes the washing smell great, so much so I have cut out the fabric conditioner in my wash but the ultimate change was not having to iron as many clothes as the balls knock out the creases while drying, not having to iron mine and my children’s duvet covers has been a dream ! would make a great gift for any fellow hinchers ! and they are Available on uk prime
