Van Zyverden Gladiolus - Large Flowering Rainbow Mixed - Set of 25 Bulbs

Only planted 8 of these about 2nd week of June and all eight are growing. I don't expect to see them bloom this year but am very happy they are up and healthy already. I would not hesitate to purchase again or recommend to others. Can't wait to see what the rest do now. Thanks Van Zyverden!2024 update: Shame to see these are not available now but the original ones I planted immediately have almost all survived and were beautiful last year. They are growing well this year and I expect the same beauty again. I messed up and planted the rest almost a year later and even about half of them are growing this year. I really wanted to get more.

Everyone of these bulbs came up, the leaves are strong. They haven’t been planted long enough for flowers, but so far so good. They are far better than Holland Bulb Farms bulbs that I also ordered.

I soaked my bulbs in water For about two days before I planted.. They popped up within a week and have been growing strong ever since I can’t wait for them to blossom!

I gave way 5 bulbs and planted about 15 and have the rest stored. . Of what I personally planted most if not all are coming up. Its too early for flowers but I'm pleased that my bulbs weren't duds. Will definitely buy from this seller again Will update with pics if/when I get flowers.

Bought these based on reviews last spring and saw beautiful results..the bulbs we're healthy and we had strong growth even in a season of drought. The flowers were beautiful with colors including yellow, red, light pink and magenta. They looked so beautiful especially when mixed with zinnias. Make sure to plant them deep enough. With a couple we noticed leaning, probably we didn't plant them deep enough.

I bought a variety colored bag of bulbs but they seem to all be this coral color. Beautiful though!Edit - Changing my review from 4 stars to 5. As more bulbs have bloomed I've gotten a white and yellow one. I guess it's hard to know what variety you're going to get as bulbs. Beautiful flowers with a near 100% success rate on bulbs going on to bloom!

Not a single bulb ever bloomed with flowers for me. The green leaf like grass part of the plant grew, but never got any flowers on any of the 25 bulbs I planted and I planted them in various areas of my yard. I have never experienced this with gladiolus bulbs. It still made a pretty green plant but sure wishing they had flowers.

I'm disappointed as all my glads, are peach/pink color, I still have about 4 to bloom, but I'm guessing since the others have been this color, they will be the same. I was wanting them to be rainbow. I planted them as a memorial to my mother and her favorite flower that blooms in August, the month of her birthday.
