A: My bottle was produced in 2011, with an expiration of 1/15/2014. Although the label does not state the amount of phenols this oil contains, it does have a distinct bitterness, which is an indication of high levels of phenols. This is a good thing, since phenols provide desirable anti-oxidant effects.

The olives used are ideal to produce a P.D.O. Valli Trapanesi extra virgin olive oil, one of the most prestigious Sicilian P.D.O.s. The result is a product with a very strong personality, with the typical fragance that recalls the fresh fruit and with a pleasant almond aftertaste.  Lorenzo #1 is a slightly dense oil, brilliant green in colour with golden yellow reflections, spicy with a persistent herbaceous and intensely fruity flavor. A: Great question!  One of the best olive oils we have tasted! Acidity is not posted on the bottle, but this is an award winning gourmet extra virigin olive oil, organic certified.  This monocultivar of "Cerasuola" obtained from olives from organic farming in the territory of production PDO Valli Trapanesi, one of the most prestigious Sicilian PDO, offers an extra virgin olive oil with intense fruity, with the typical fragrance that reminds us of the fresh fruit and a pleasant aftertaste almond.

A: Thanks for bringing to my attention. Yes my bottle is also best by 10 months expiration. This time period works for me, even past the 10 months, it should be still good within reason. It's a delicious olive oil and I will continue to re-order.
