### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love these straps!
*by K***S on November 2, 2015*

I was just going to order the straps, but one of my pedals needed replacing so I figured I'd get the full pedal with strap already attached. I read through many of the reviews, and yes, it took me about three adjustments to get the strap to the correct length. After they were adjusted correctly, it took me about two to three rides to get used to the feel. Two weeks later I made a three-day, 180 mile trip down the C&O Canal Tow path next to the Potomac River. The path was rough ride, and the first day was filled with puddles all along the trail. The straps held up great all the way through. The material is thick and tough, and the straps are very easy to get in and out of. With a slight turn of the foot you can relieve any pressure or tension that may build up after a long time in the saddle. I think these are a whole lot better than the toe cages I used to use. Oh yeah, the pedals were of pretty good quality also, no complaints there either!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Real pedals for real riding -not the usual MAMIL stuff
*by D***S on May 4, 2018*

I wasn't digging the clipless clip in shoe thing. Seriously, why is that a thing? Take tap dance lessons, stop wandering looking for a place to pee in spandex yoga pants and tap shoes. Embrace it - go big or go home. Power grips? Yup, slide your feet into these monsters, and slide them back out - no problem. (footwear is highly recommended. You could barefoot these. You can stick you feet in a weed wacker too, but you wouldn't) The power grips are aptly named. You can pull back up on the backstroke, or you can get a rotational flow going - no slip, no problem. Pre-assembled is great. Just wrench the old pedals off and put these on. I can't really imagine messing around with assembly on these - I doubt it would really save you any money. I've tried them out on all three of the bikes I regularly use. I'll probably order a few more pair and just leave them on each bike.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not a clip replacement: better suited for a casual commuter or flat/forward-foot riding style
*by P***E on April 7, 2015*

I got these for a friend who had the old 'buckle straps'. She really enjoyed these pedals because they are EASIER TO USE THAN BUCKLES as there is no need to lean at all and are ACCOMMODATING TO A WIDE VARIETY OF SHOES, within reason - she's a girl, after all :)I personal prefer clips and enjoy the amount of pull-up ability they provide; but for a "city commuter" who wants a little bit of control and/or doesn't want to deal with special shoes or cleats, THESE SHOULD BE ON THE LIST OF THINGS TO TRY - they are quite inexpensive in terms of cycle gear.Compared to clips THE STRAPS LOOSEN ON THE 'BACKWARD STROKE' WHEN LEANING FORWARD; with clips I like to be able to "toe-down" and pull through the stroke - these are more suited for a more casual/upright posture and pedal style. I also found clips better for moving the foot back because of the more consistent lock. They might also be suited for other upright and foot-forward disciplines like trail riding (or long distance touring), but I don't have experience with such. The pedals themselves are nothing fancy but are quite sturdy and far better than those found on basic department store bicycles.I rated 4/5 stars only because the are not my thing.
