This says "soft touch"; is it still official weight & size? or should i buy a "regular" touch if i'm training my young teenage daughter to play?

Softer feeling balls are easier on the wrists of volleyball players. They do not sting as much and most average to higher end volleyballs are a softer feel. Can you use this in the pool?

I bought one of these a few years ago and always used it in the pool! It works but eventually it started to peel and get rips from the chlorine.

Would this be too heavy for 7 year old? She is just starting volleyball clinics
