Walking workout easy enough to help older people, yet active enough to challenge the young. Aerobic and low-impact for the cardio needs of patients like myself, after heart attack exercise, and options enough for those capable of going beyond simple and basic. This seems to have plenty for everyone.The leaders bubbly personality and instruction keeps you going, and encourages constantly of keeping at your own level and daily need. My wife, A WW success, down to goal weight, works out with this DVD and other walking programs by Leslie Sansone. After my second heart attack, with doctor approval, the DVD walking programs have become a daily walk-together activity for our health, weight control, cardio need, and toning conditioning. It is more fun together, so this is one the men can join, and we being in our 60s, are proof it works for any age.The advantage of this set is the CD which allows outdoor exercise in the same walking manner without the need for a TV. The CD player works from the patio, and on winter or rainy days, it's inside with the DVD. Both do the job needed.the set also comes with a 64 page book "Complete Walking Guide:" Your essential guide to walking for health, fitness, and fun. Chapters include "Getting Started, Where to Walk, Who to Walk With, Next Steps, and Four Great Walking Plans". All good basic information for the beginner or the people who have already made walking for health a part of their lifestyle. It works, it's proven.This product cuts the risk of heart disease--provided you put the DVD or CD into a player and participate. Do it with your spouse and make it truly enjoyable. Nothing like a rousing romp with your spouse.So one DVD does not get tiresome or boring, I suggest looking into "Leslie Sansone: Walk Away the Pounds - For Your Week" for an alternating walking exercise experience with a spouse or friend. Actually, I suppose it can work alone as well, but I have not tried that myself. I'm lucky, no need.

This is a rather-slow paced and relatively easy walking workout, but Ellen has such a nice personality it's hard not to like it. There is also no intimidation factor at all and there are various lengths to choose from so it's a nice addition to a walking program. Ellen offers some easy-to-follow alternate moves to walking and overall, it's a nice workout.

Happy Walker
I love this CD of motivational music. I first purchased it 7years ago and used it every time I went walking. I lost the CD a year ago and tried other music but never found one that I liked as well as the weight watchers CD. The beat of the music is perfect for keeping a good walking pace and I am happy to have it back in my iTunes.

This can be done in your living room. Not a lot of space required. Perfect for when it is too hot or cold to walk outside.

Not for everyone...
I like this walking kit as it includes both a CD for outside walking and indoor walking. I just do not think that the program would be for everyone. The outdoor walking is extremely fast paced for a beginner. The indoor walks are good, but include some heavier aerobic moves (arm motions, knee lifts, etc.). If you are looking for a starter program this may not be the one for you. The hostess does a great job of reminding you about posture and provides you with motivation throughout all walks. Good to try if you are actively walking already, but I would rank this program as intermediate, not beginner.
