Urban Planning For Dummies Paperback – March 13, 2012

I admit that I purchased this book for its cover. As a professional city planner, with 25+ years experience, I thought it would make an interesting talking point lying around in my office! However, upon reading through it, I was impressed by the range of topics that were included, and especially how clearly some concepts were defined. This would be a great book for a new Planning Commissioner or someone thinking about a career in Urban Planning. It is concise and well written.

Love this book! As a Project Manager with a small techncial team, this book is a very useful guideline for developing a spatial plan. It's easy to read and very explanatory. A great book persons with absolutley no urban planning background.

It is ok. I was looking for a more advanced information but ok for beginners.

Urban Planning For Dummies is an excellect introduction to the arts and science of Urban planning for both the layman and the undergraduate student. It is written in clear prose, comprehensive in nature and a good reference to have close at hand for discussions with the public. The language is simple but does not talk down to the reader, it is full of references and useful internet links.

Contents are fine

Good basic book.

Needed this for an urban planning class and was more affordable here than the bookstore. Came on time and was in perfect condition.
