I've made many many margaritas in my life and always just made my own sugar syrup as it's so much cheaper than buying it. However, went to Mexico on holiday where they only use Agave syrup (they've got plenty of it after all) but it genuinely does make a difference. As it as it gets put with 100% agave tequila it does some magic and totally lifts your margs. I'll never go back to home made again
