My favorite Vit C serum
Definitely recommend! I've been using this product for maybe 2 years and it's done wonders for my skin. I had a different vitamin C serum before this and this one is by far my favorite. (After adding a gentle retinol into the mix it's even better.) The one thing I will say is that it's basically like water so I usually hold a hand up to my face and rub/dab it in as I go so it doesn't run all down my face. It doesn't bother me though since it actually makes it easier to apply all over the face with very few drops. I would say a bottle lasts me anywhere between 2-3 months. I see some reviews talk about issues with packaging and spills but I've personally never had an issue with any of that so, it might depend on location or how far the package is being sent. And for anyone concerned about the product being different colors when you order a new replacement, that's just how this product works! Visit Paula's Choice website or google about the product. There's actually a variation of different colors this product can be and still be safe to use. Vitamin C is finicky like that. Another warning is be careful what else you mix this with and how you layer it with other products. Looking at all the reviews I am curious how many novice skincare folks are buying this product not realizing that vitamin C is an acid. If you don't know what you're doing then you might end up seriously damaging your skin's acid mantle which can causing irritation, burning and/or breakouts. Most of what I'm seeing in the photos looks like that's what happened too so, proceed with caution if you aren't familiar with how to mix skincare products or have especially sensitive skin. And if you use physical exfoliants (which, really no one should be but that's a separate topic) then definitely do not apply this for at least 24 hours. (Again, it's an acid. The pH is 3.1–3.5 according to their website and most retinol's are around 5-6 pH levels.) ♡

Overall alright, very runny!!
I like this because it absorbs decently quickly(if I don’t use too much by accident), it’s light, and doesn’t have a strong smell. It also comes in an opaque bottle which I like so the product doesn’t go bad as quickly due to possible light exposure. NOTE: this product is SUPER runny. I went to put straight on my face at first, and it ran off my face immediately. I HAVE to put on a few drops on my hands first and then pat it on my face — which I don’t love. I should’ve realized that this is a booster and NOT a serum. After about a month of use, I still can’t tell if my dark spots on my face are lightening. BUT this didn’t cause me to break out, which is a win for my sensitive skin. I don’t know if I’ll repurchase since I prefer a serum product, but it isn’t bad.

I love other Paula's Choice products (I exclusively use PC AHA/BHA ...
I love other Paula's Choice products (I exclusively use PC AHA/BHA and retinol), so I was both surprised and disappointed to find this product consistently abysmal. I have now ordered this product three times (in the sample size each time, as Vitamin C in L-AA form degrades quickly following exposure to light/air)-- once directly from the PC website, and twice through Amazon. Each time, this product was already bright amber in color (including the time I ordered directly from the PC website), indicating late stages of oxidation. This also smells bad, as other reviewers have noted (kind of like hot dog water)-- some of that is just because vitamin C smells, but some of that is due to the fact that the product was spoiled. L-AA, of course, degrades quickly, and some oxidation is more or less inevitable unless you're formulating your own vitamin C products at home. However, this is theoretically stabilized by ferulic acid and tocopherol, so I don't understand why the product was at such late stages of oxidation each time I received it, and as a result I'm concerned they're not doing effective quality control or tracking sell-by dates. Moreover, it's fairly damning that this is packaged in an eyedropper bottle, especially since part of the Paula's Choice Gospel is packaging, and this packaging is dreadful. Bottom line: this product is either worthless or actively harmful. At this price point, that's ridiculous.

Quality Vitamin C
This serum truly stands out as a high-performance vitamin C treatment and has become an essential component of my routine. I initially approached the product with skepticism, but extensive research into dermatologist recommendations-which consistently cite its quality formulation convinced me to try it. I have observed a tangible reduction in facial pigmentation and age spots. It provides noticeable moisturizing benefits & is not harsh or irritating. This product requires patience and consistency, but the long-term payoff is well worth it.

Good but flawed.
Good product but terrible packaging. It’s a liquid that easily falls thru your fingers. Wasteful and thus difficult to apply.

Effective
It layers well under moisturizer and sunscreen, and I haven’t experienced any irritation, which is a big plus for my sensitive skin. Overall, it does feels gentle yet effective. I would definitely recommend

So far the best Vitamin C I've used. Arrived on time. Comparable price to Sephora.

Great product! It really brightens up the overall complexion. The formulation is really strong though so don't use it near the eyes to avoid irritating them.
