GP1000S GT Office Chair, Silver

This chair is awesome!!! Just got it delivered a little over an hour ago and only took me about 30 mins to put together. Very easy to do,the manual is simple all the parts and tools were easy to use. ( no need to go out and buy additional parts) everything was hand tightened with the provided tools and parts. I have to say I was a little skeptical when I ordered it based on other reviews. It does come in two boxes, but the chair was packed very well. The longest part of setting up this chair was actually just getting it out of all The bubble wrap!! Now the chair is stiff, meaning the cushioning is solid, with use I'm hoping that will soften up, it's still fairly comfortable and I can always sneak a pillow in!! Also of note, it does nearly a full recline!!! I was practically flat on my back when I reclined it to see how far it would go. It does have a little knob underneath the seat you can use to give the chair a little rocker feel to it, which was also nice for when my son sits in my lap. My wife actually loved it and she fit perfectly in it. I'm definitely going to order the fancier version of this chair in a few months. Already thinking about ordering a whole set of them for my business!!! All in all I'm loving this chair and didn't come across any problems with screws, missing parts, cheap parts or damaged boxes. This is definitely a keeper! I did want to point of the stiffness of the side cushions is going to be the first thing you notice when you first sit in it. When my wife sat in it, wasn't an issue at all, but I'm a bit wider and when I sit in it it feels like a bar is resting against your thigh. I point this out because I'm actually pretty slender for a guy, at 180lbs at 5'11 size 32 jeans. So at the risk of sounding rude, if your a bit wider, this chair may be a problem for you. I sat in it all night long for about 5 hours, and the side cushions seemed to get more comfortable, or maybe my thighs just got numb to it!! Either way for me the chair is fantastic.

Loved the look and design of this chair as it was exactly what I was looking for in my new office at work. I was leery about buying a chair (and not a cheap one either) that I could not see, touch, feel for myself, but I thought I would take a chance on this one after doing some online research. On Delivery and unpacking, first thing I noticed was the plastic sleeve on one of the arm rest bases was cracked. I decided I could live with this and super glue it back to an aesthetically acceptable position because that was easier than sending it back. Also, being leatherette and not real leather, the chair had a horrible (headache inducing) plastic offgassing smell for a solid week. It eventually subsided and is fine now, but it's very potent at first. I've rated the chair as "okay" because I still love the design, look and general comfort, but durability is/already has become an issue after only 3 weeks of use. I use the chair everyday as my office chair. Work, not home office. So it's my primary chair all day. The first week it was fine. Then I noticed a spring squeak in the cushion base. I flipped the chair over, unvelcroed the mesh cover underneath the seat cushion, located the squeaky spring and lubricated it. Fine for another 2-3 days. Then the cushion spring squeak came back worse. Then the whole base hinge which bolts to the bottom of the seat cushion started creaking every time I leaned back and forth. Not to mention the whole chair wobbles from side to side from an ill-fitting shaft into the chair base. So when I get time, I guess I'm going to have to disassemble the whole chair and lube the stars out of it to get it to shut up. This is a firm cushioned chair, which I love. I don't like soft, cushy, overstuffed chairs so the comfort (as long as you're not moving) is great for me. However, this chair is not worth a normal list price of $400. I got it on sale for $256 and am still peeved that it creaks and squeaks every time I make a move.

The chair is very comfortable for doing work or playing video games. The only complaint it takes a little bit of weight lifting to assemble it. Besides the chair works like a charm. If you want a car related chair look no further.

I ordered this chair for a fathers day gift. The 1st one that showed up came as the back only. The second box with all of the parts never showed. Amazon sent a replacement (number 2) and it arrived with both boxes but was damaged. There was a return label already on the boxes from a prior return. UPS came to pick up the chair but only came with one return label and left the second box. They sent a replacement (3rd try) this morning and again only one box arrived. This time all of the parts that never arrived with the first order came but the seat back and bottom were a no show. Now they are going to give up and give me a refund instead of a working chair. I have no idea what the finished chair is like due to never being able to see or try a complete one. I wouldn't recommend this chair to anyone, how could I. Buy at your own risk. I use Amazon all of the time but this one didn't work out.

6' tall, 210lbs. Way too big for this chair. One will need a very small butt too be comfortable.

This chair is amazing! Was easy to put together and came in two boxes which didn’t have any pictures of what was inside perfect for surprising someone who may be home when they get delivered. Fast delivery! Very well made definitely worth buying! My husband says it’s very comfortable! Going to buy more of this set.

The chair is amazing, I get compliments from everyone who sees it. However, be aware it is a two part shipment, with the base in one box and the seat in another. It took 4 separate shipments and multiple returned bases to actually have a full chair to put together. Overall with the end product, I have to saythe wait and hassle was worth it.

Looks great but the chair is very narrow - my wife is small and I'm average build yet the seat digs in to our legs. I would audition the chair before ordering. If we had sat in it before delivery I doubt we would have ordered it.
