The shoe looks good and I'm impressed by the other reviews. The size I ordered is simply too small for me in this style of shoe. I had a problem with Amazon in returning them.My two pair of shoes had arrived in two boxes. So I printed out two copies of the return UPS shipping label. The UPS center would not ship both back because the Amazon return label allows only one package. A hassle. I presume Amazon will fix this ... Just sharing in case anyone else needs to return two of something.UPDATE: I found a place in the Returns area of the main Amazon website where one can check \"other problem\" and type a short e-mail to Amazon service. I just asked them to look at the above review and within a couple hours I got an e-mail containing an additional return label. My grumpiness from yesterday is now abated. :)UPDATE 2: I drove into town to my office to print out the new label and put the package in a UPS drop box. I looked at the return label. It's an exact copy of the one that did not work. Amazon must either have someone in India reading these things or some type of artificial intelligence doing the response; in either case the Amazon return system is not working. So the grumpiness is no longer abated.UPDATE 3: I tried the \"live chat\" to resolve the issue and must, on Saturday (when I drove into the office to resolve this and do a few other things), have been e-chatting with someone in India who did not clearly understand English and who does not know anything about UPS. Not to blame him; he tried his best. He promised to send me a new label that he was certain would work to return the package of shoes. I asked if he was sure that the new label would be accepted by UPS. He said certainly! So I signed off and then opened his e-mail which contained an image of a envelope with a note to affix postage stamps.Update 4: Per some update notice that asked if my Amazon problem had been resolved: I clicked no and then a \"call me\" option and entered \"now\". Almost immediately my phone rang. I briefly explained and within seconds he had my account in front of him and we discussed. He sent me a new return label that should solve my tiny return problem. But that's not the end of it. He (Jevon B.) double checked things and realized a problem still existed, tried to call my listed phone number (office on Sunday) and then went ahead and issued me a new and corrected UPS label. Ordering shoes online is not an easy feat. A customer definitely doesn't need to worry with Amazon's generous return policy that includes fashion items. After all, ordering online you have several obstacles. Fit, comfort, and even design may not be easily determined through reviews and pictures until you've tried it on in person. So far, I got these, I put them on and they are probably the most comfortable shoes I've worn in recent memory especially when considering dress shoes which I generally don't think of for everyday use. These are perfect for dressy or casual situations and have the comfort for every day type usage. While I have never owned Bostonians, I saw the positive reviews, the high ranking, and the nice slip-on black leather style as encouraging. Indeed, it will be necessary to see how these last over time since I have seen how cheaper shoes may not last long. It is my hope that I can get at least a year, if not more from these. They are affordable, but I hate having to replace shoes constantly. I will try to update and report back. So far, I'm impressed. My only concern is what other reviewers have pointed out which is that while it does use a leather upper, the bottom of the shoes (sole) are synthetic and I'm not sure how durable it will be. I wanted something more affordable and Bostonian's Bolton shoe offered the 'look' and 'value' I was looking for. These are by no means a premium looking or feeling shoe. The shoes are very comfortable and easy to put on, but they don't quite offer that top notch premium look or comfort in the sole. The sole looks a little too 'plastic' evenThe base of the shoe is very nice and extremely comfortable. These are really great shoes to wear with casual pants and a polo shirt.I don't have anything negative to say about these shoes because they look good and are comfortable to wear during an eight hour day. However the edges of the opening kept cutting into my ankles. This continued for a few days as I tried to break them in but it never helped. I was about to throw in the towel and return them but I came across a tip to help break in shoes...Take a pair of thick socks and wet them. Put them on (yes it'll be uncomfortable) and then put on the new shoes. Proceed to wear them for a while. I wore them for around 2 hours at home while I watched TV. By the end, the shoes had molded to my feet shape much better and the opening had widened enough so that they don't hit my ankles.Fitting issues aside, the shoe itself is fine. Looks good. Professional.
