Good long term chair
Overall, a solid and comfortable office chair that does a good job for everyday use. The mesh design keeps it breathable, which is nice for long sitting sessions, and the lumbar support provides decent back support once itโs adjusted properly. It swivels smoothly and feels stable during regular use. Itโs not the most premium chair out there, but itโs very functional for the price and works well for home office or general desk work. Iโve been happy with it overall and itโs made sitting for long periods more comfortable.

My posture has gotten so much better!
I had a very bad quality "gaming: chair before I bought this one and wow. When I tell you the difference of sitting in each chair is extremely different, you will not believe me. The Hyken Techinal Task Ergonomical chair has made a big difference in the way I sit, and looks great in my setup. Assembly of the chair wasn't "hard" but it did take a while to do. It comes in very simple instructions and tells you which screws go where. They give you all the screws and tools needed so you don't have to buy anything extra. I did it by myself but it would have ben easier with another set of arms to help. It only took long because I had to screw every screw in. Other than that, it was an easy job with straight forward instructions. The build of the chair seems very sturdy with a net like fiber for back and leg support. The chair does NOT feel cheap in anyway. The plastic is nice and has a good feel to it and it does have metal as a main frame support, meaning the chair is relatively heavy. The chair feels reinforced and feels like it will not break on you at anytime so that's a plus. The arm rests go up and down so you can move them according to your desk. The chair goes up and down in height. It also has the ability to lean back so you don't have to be sitting straight up all the time and relax. Even when you are laying back, you don't feel slouched nor stiff. You always feel comfortable yet in a good posture. The wheels seem pretty well made. While assembling, they were a little difficult to put into place but eventually they fit into the stand. The chair does feel kind of small so if you are bigger in body shape or height, this chair might not be great for you. I'm 5'8" and it does feel a bit small but barley. The only thing that feels small for me is the seat. The backrest feels perfect in size and back support. Definitely would recommend this chair instead of a gaming chair. I can spend hours on end on the chair at my desk and not feel my back straining or stiff in anyway. Again, it is very comfortable and helps a lot with posture.

Good value for the money
Overall very good chair. It was a little hard to assemble on my own. Just awkward mostly. Some of the pieces like the seat and back do not line up easily for the screws to go in and the tool they provide, while practical and helpful- it takes incredible hand strength to maneuver that tool. My #1 tip is don't tighten any screws all the way until you have them all in. Tighten them 3/4 of the way so you have a little give to manipulate getting them all even and then tighten them down to 100% once you set it will set evenly. I broke out my power drill with the Allen wrench bit, and even at the highest tork setting, I was afraid I was going to ruin my drill. It was screaming. There's no way I personally could've done this on my own without a drill, but someone stronger maybe could've. It took maybe 45 minutes to assemble and the parts were very well organized and matched the instructions decently well. Now that I've used the chair for the first time it's miles above what I had. So I do think it's a good value at this price point, I'm just slightly disappointed it feels like it has a reclined back and there's no way to control the recline. Its just a space issue. Where my back meets the seat feels further away than I'd like. It could be my own anatomy and won't affect others the same. The lumbar support is very good but I'll probably still use a cushion sometimes behind my back so I don't feel like I'm slightly reclined. But it did feel good to lean back into the seat, lumbar, and headrest and type on the pc and I could feel my posture was supported so much better than my last chair. If I use my pillow I won't get that. And that's important if you're trying to alleviate poor posture. The adjustable neck support is super nice. The chair is definitely made well and I don't see any of this ever breaking. The construction is solid. All in all - I recommend. I think it could be a little better, but I think buying desk chairs is tricky. Sort of like running shoes. Wish they could fit you for a desk chair!!! I don't regret the purchase but see myself maybe finding something else in a couple years. I'll get good use out of it. Also, tips from my chiropractor --- make sure your desk chair has adjustable height, arms, lumbar and has a headrest to support your neck. Hope this helps.

Great for lower-back pain and forcing good posture
I had the same model of chair for roughly 8+ years. It finally gave out on me with the back snapping due to the internal plastic finally giving out after much abuse. I immediately ordered this as a replacement, despite it not being in the top office chair list here on Amazon, because as someone with previous issues with lower back problems it was one of the chairs that just felt great and helped me keep good posture. I'm 5'11", 195lbs. I work a home office job that keeps me sitting most of the day, as well as playing games periodically in the evenings. I glide easily across the room between computers as I do my job. When I need to lean back and refocus it is easy/comfortable to do so. Easily one of the most comfortable office chairs I've ever owned. Assembly took less than 45 minutes. The screws for each step were located in their own bags so that you could just take a bag per step and go from steps 1-6 quickly and easily using the included hex key. I'm sure there are flashier chairs out there, but when you deal with back issues you definitely gain a preference for ones that feel great. For me, this was one of them.

Amazing budget option, cannot recommend enough after 2 and a half years of use.
I bought this to replace my old, el cheapo office chair that was falling apart and was causing me to slouch very badly. It was that type of office chair that was some cushion on top of plywood that you'd be feeling after 20 minutes. I was searching for a chair and at the time, needed something that was very affordable. I decided on this one because it was mesh and one of my friends with really bad back problems got it after doing lots of research, and he recommended it to me. When I got this chair in... oh my gosh.... you cannot possibly understand how life-changing it is to have a proper, solid office chair, especially if you're like me and spend hours each and every day at your desk, in your chair. I'm 5' 7" 120lbs, this chair supports me perfectly, headrest is at the perfect height. The mesh is great, very breathable and supportive. The modularity is great, you could strip the entire thing down to a stool if you so desired. I keep the arm rests off to make getting in and out of the chair easier, and sometimes I detach the headrest when playing VR while sitting. I understand they're forced to do this to fit the chair into a smaller box for cheaper shipping, but it's still appreciated. The build quality is... well, plastic, but pretty hard and solid plastic. The back shroud that covers the metal bracket that mounts the back rest to the seat is the weakest point and has cracked, but otherwise it's been great after 2 and a half years of continuous use. And let's be real, you can't complain about build quality at this price point. Overall, definitely get it if you can. Do not hold off on it and consider buying something else, yeah a new graphics card is cool and all but framerates don't matter if it hurts to sit in your chair. You'd think I'm joking, but my buddy I mentioned earlier messed up his back after years of construction work and a bad motorcycle accident. He has a triple screen 1440p 144hz setup with a 4090 but there's days where he wants to play and can't because of his back pains. So, seriously, do your research and consider ergonomics, and definitely consider this chair. Pic 1: Aug 2022 Pic 2: Oct 2023

Excellent office chair for this price range
This is an excellent office chair for this price range. I first bought one for my home office during the pandemic, and just bought a second one for my den. The chair is well constructed, heavy duty, and the mesh seat and back are comfortable and sturdy. The adjustable tension for reclining the back is outstanding, and the seat height adjustment range is great as well.

Good at first, then back pain
I've had it for two years and I regret it. First year was fine. It was comfortable, easy to assemble, better than my last chair etc. But then the problems started. The mesh seat doesn't wear in evenly, so you're going to find yourself leaning to one side, which is a problem because the arm rests are attached by cheap bolts that will bend and loosen until they snap. The foam on the armrests is not made to take any pressure, leading to it cracking and splitting with sharp, pointy little edges that will poke and rub up against your arms. The lumbar support pad is just completely terrible. It naturally sits too low and either presses on your tailbone or half an inch above your tailbone. I find myself slouching a lot just so my lower back isn't pressed against it, because it slides out of place so easily. The headrest has a similar problem. If I press my back against the chair and sit rigid and straight with the headrest fully extended, it's almost comfortable. But like the lumbar support, the headrest naturally wants to slip into its lowest position. So you're constantly wrestling with these two adjustable parts against your back and neck, while trying to keep your elbows on some wobbly armrests. Worst part is that using this chair and trying to wrestle with its slouchy, uneven surface eventually led to some short-term sciatic pain through my back and legs. I was able to stretch and yoga and walk that off, but I've been looking for a new, better chair ever since.

For the price, packaging, easy of assembly an easy 5 stars.
As always, I rate with price in mind and considering that price. Is this as comfortable and well built as a Herman Miller Aeron? No. But it also doesn't cost 1200+ bucks. For like $1000 less, it's pretty good. I found it was kind of difficult to find a mesh back AND bottom chair that wasn't too crazily priced, so that's what brought me to this char. - One of the best, if not best, packaged assemble-yourself furniture items I've ever dealt with. All pieces were wrapped very well to prevent damage. Due to their smart choice in box size in relation to the disassembled chair pieces, everything fit nicely in the box, came out nicely, was completely undamaged, AND I didn't have like 2 trashbags full of styrofoam to toss like with most assembly required stuff. - Instructions were clear and correctly well written in English, without the usual sometimes laughable often times confusing instructions that usually seem to be translated by throwing darts at a board of random words you might find in a manual. -Nice touch was that each plastic pouch with the hardware had a card in it with the part ID and what instruction steps it's used for. So you might have 4 bolts, and the card would have 'A' Step 3. And in the instructions you'd find step 3 and see the bolts 'A' needed. Amazing to see a company actually put a bit of effort into their instructions/assembly stuff. Also the only tool needed for assembly was the included Allen wrench. - It's pretty comfortable for a just over 200 dollar chair. Armrests are adjustable up and down of course, and you do have some adjustment room width-wise by sliding them in and out before tightening the bolts underneath. It's not a huge amount of adjustment, you can maybe add another 2 inches of space total max, and obviously it's not a simple button/lever adjustment since you have to adjust the bolts. The same thing applies to the seat depth, the chair back can be assemble with a bit of room while tightening the bolts. Though you're probably only getting an inch or so there. The lumbar support piece also has a bit of adjustment as well. The headrest only has one bolt position, but it has some adjustability with the pivot mount it has. The usual other adjustments of course too that you'd expect from an office chair: height, lock back in place, let back lean. - Great value for the price point, especially since there aren't a whole lot of mesh back and bottom chairs out there down in this general price range.

Headrest and seat length are a deal breaker!!!
Headrest: FIrst of all, the headrest is counterproductive. I know this is an ergonomic chair and it's designed to make you sit straight but this feels like it might give me a hunch back. There's also no way I can sit on this for more than 15 mins. When I work, I need to be comfortable enough to work for hours and this just frustrates me while I work. Seat length Secondly, I read some reviews about this before purchasing but didn't think it was that big of a deal. But NOPE! I was dead ass wrong! The seat length is way too short!!!!!. It's uncomfortably to short and I'm 5'10. Not sure if it was built like that intentionally or it was just built for a 5'5 person. Everything else is fine, but these 2 reasons break the deal for me!!!! I sold it to someone else as a result

Not for those taller than 175cm/5'9
It's the same chair I tested in store at staples, and it's not as comfy because it's brand new. But once it's broken in. I expect it to be comfy. It's got an airy seat so if you get hot down there, there's ventilation. Depending on your height if you're +175cm/5'9 i don't recommend it, since you'll sit past the head rest which cannot be adjusted. It helps me sit up straight compared to my old gaming chair, and for my height it's comfy enough. Just need the seat to sag a little so the height goes down a bit. Assembling it took some work, but not impossible to do alone. I would recommend this chair if you're not taller than 175cm/5'9
