UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME FOR 3D PRINTERS
Wow! These glue sticks are incredible for 3D printer beds! They're huge so you just put a few swipes on your bed while it's heating up and it will dry by the time your bed is ready to go. Things stick so well it's unbelievable. I've never had anything come off while printing I've never had any warping or any type of bed adhesion problems other people experience. They are absolutely perfect for 3D printers. Do not spend $20+ on a stick the claims to be specifically for 3D printers just by this pack and you're good to go for a long time!

The best OG glue sticks
This is the literal best glue and it has been for a billion years. So this pack is such a good deal for how much you get. This will definitely last a couple school years.

Primarily purchased for 3D printer bed adhesion...
These sticks are huge, much bigger in person than pictures make them appear (there's nothing in the pictures to compare by scale). They're about 4 inches long by 1.25 inches in diameter. I bought these specifically for 3D printer bed adhesion and they are perfect for it. Not only did they resolve the slight warping I experienced, the color changing functionality is nice, it's basically purple when wet, so it goes on purple (until the layer dries) and it will turn purple again if re-wetted with water. This makes it handy to tell where you've applied it and when cleaning up, just rub a wet paper towel on it and it turns purple showing you where it needs to be removed. The bed adhesion is actually TOO good, I can tell it makes a big difference to adhesion because the prints are far more difficult to remove than they used to be. Even my preferred technique of spraying rubbing alcohol as a release agent around the perimeter of the print, no longer works with this. I suspect the glue forms such a tight bond that the alcohol can't seep under. What I find works better with this is hot water soaked towel (or paper towel), wet the perimeter so the hot water dissolves the glue at the perimeter of the print, then slide floss under and work my way through until it detaches from bed. After removing the print I find the glue has done nothing to damage the print itself. It washes off the print and the bed completely with water alone (I clean the bed with rubbing alcohol as well).

These glue sticks have cured my 3D print adhesion problems!
When I got my first 3D printer my biggest problem was keeping my print jobs stuck to the printer's hot bed. Nothing more frustrating than having a10 hr print job coming loose at 9 hrs and failing! I read reports that some people were using the purple Elmer's glue sticks on their printers with success, so I tried it and was amazed how well it works! I smear the glue on from the handy retractable glue stick, then I take a 1/2" paint brush, dip it in plain water, and work the glue over the bed. Once the bed heats up, the glue turns from purple to clear and is ready for the print job. After the job is printed I remove my flexible magnetic bed cover and bend it to pop off the finished print. I swish the surface again with my wet paint brush and the surface is ready for the next job. I don't usually apply the glue again until I've gone through three or four print jobs so it is extremely economical. If you are printing on a glass bed it's a little more difficult to get the prints off. You'll need your spatula/putty knife and I sometimes drip some water around the print to help loosen it. It is a small price to pay for the peace of mind of your print job not coming loose!

Its great depending on what your purpose
*** Update *** For you 3D printers out there... alcohol doesn't really clean this stuff off. I tried acetone and it doesn't help much either. I happen to have some CRL 1973 Glass Cleaner on hand and it tapes off this sticky glue very well. ***************** I use this for 3D printing. It was recommended "The Purple One", and yes it works great! I use this directly on a glass build plate and it STICKS! This is true, since when you miss a spot, this area has a tendency to lift and curl. My heated build plate was damaged and had to get a pane of glass to continue printing (without heat). This glue turns white and (hard) waxy when heat is applied (from the hot filament) and is very difficult to get off. It is said to use alcohol to remove it, but perhaps acetone may work better. I'm sure it's great for kids to do their projects, since my 7yo walks by and says, "Did you buy those? Those are some HUGE glue sticks!", so I assume they use Chapstick-sized glue-sticks in school. The harder cured consistency is probably a good thing for kid projects.

I'm using this glue to glue-baste an english paper piecing quilt. This glue is really easy to use, and I am able to peel off the papers when I need to.

I got cheated. I bought this for 1890 yen at the time. But it is only 1200 now. Even so, it is still overpriced for a washable glue stick. Buy something else.
