Givi OBK42 Trekker Outback 42 Liter Aluminum Top Case The Outback Trekker is the first case from GIVI made entirely of aluminum. Outback Trekker has all the features to give a comfortable driving experience and an unprecedented ease of use. They are designed with excellent resistance to shocks and the stresses of off-road driving. The Trekker Outback ensures safety, comfort and great practicality. A single key operates the systems for opening and closing of the case as well as the mechanism for hooking and unhooking them from the motorcycle. The Trekker Outback Top Case does not require any special rack, and it can be attached on any existing Monokey plate. The flat lid and four strap loops are standard equipment on Outback Trekker cases, and offer the possibility to store objects on the top of the lid, while inside it is possible to secure items to the underside of the lid with an elastic net (sold separately) which can be secured with existing hooks. Among the standard features is a mat made in soft material, which placed on the bottom of the case will absorb shock transmitted during riding. Product overall is pretty solid. Only complaint I have with it is minor. They were sloppy with the sealant when putting things together. Was showing a friend the case and they noticed it first thing before I even told them, so it is pretty noticeable on the black case. Its very easy to take off however, just kind of swipe it with your thumb.Out side of that it's been a good top box. Will be ordering the matching side cases soon.***UPDATE: 9/8/16***Received a call from GIVI USA today after sending in an e-mail on 9/6/16 about a defect in my box. Getting a new box shipped out to me and prepaid return shipping for my defective one. Amazing customer service and they were more than willing to stand behind their product and make things right. Good company to do business with that stands behind their products.

One the best purchases I've ever made for my motorcycle! The pictures make it look bigger than it is in real life. It's perfect for a full sized helmet, jacket, gloves, and other accessories. It's very strong, attaches securely, and looks great!

Was a bit nervous buying ...
5 out of 5 starsWas a bit nervous buying the product. Every other online store seemed to have it listed $40-60 more than this was advertised. As far as I can tell, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the item, shipped in factory package and mounted right to my bike. Mounting was simple, no audible vibrations as far as I can tell, seems very secure, but haven't strapped much to it yet. Makes those quick errands a breeze with all the extra room.

This looks great on the back of my 2016 BMW G650GS
This looks great on the back of my 2016 BMW G650GS. I wouldn't go any bigger. Fits one full size helmet. Rattles a little while riding but otherwise it is a great top case. I love the style, locking mechanism and the over all size.

Lock
Well built. Only issue is key will only come out in lock position therefore you can only latch the lid from the lock position. Being that I keep my keys together with the ignition, the motorcycle has to be turned off to open the box.

Looks and works great!
Typical very good GIVI build quality. Looks great on my 2017 Africa Twin. Mounted it to an ALT Rider luggage rack with adapted kit for GIVI Mono Key Case. Did need to drill four holes in the luggage rack for the rubber bumpers included by GIVI with the top box.

You do get the OBK42AA model
I was confused on which model I would get (OBK42A vs OBK42AA) and I did get the OBK42AA version. Arrived without any damage and everything I needed. I installed on my KTM790 the same day. Great luggage like usual from Givi.

found this sweetheart as a one-of-a-kind deal on Amzn. really couldn't have afforded it otherwise. just like we moto-thusiasts know, Givi's cases are the ba-ba bomb! one still has to purchase the correct plate bracket (also at a rather dear price) even if he gets a great deal on the case. so, essentially this is a "five-star" product, which was sent to me in perfect condition and within a very reasonable amount of time and cost. it's just sooooo painful to have to pay what would've otherwise been four-hundred-and-fifty plus bux plus, had I not got it at such an awesome savings. I'll be traveling to S. America this time next year, returning in the 2018 New Year (as long as I don't get held up for ransom in some fine Amazonian rainforest subversives' camp!). I'll up date all y'all upon my return from the adventure.
