No Water waisting, Great Ice production !
Unit arrived on Time, I was greatly surprised by the way it was packet, all sides were cushioned by foam, no damage at all. I installed an inline water filter to filter out the chemical Taste of our water. The unit went to work making ice quickly ! Filled up the bin in 24 hours. The only complaint is that ice cubes are connected in two's, however they are small enough they fit in a glass easily. Very happy with this unit so far !! Would recommend this to all ! Les Downing

Good, not great. Edit: Now Dead at the under two years old mark
As of May 23rd 2023, this thing is dead. Just won't even power on anymore.Leaving the rest of the review as it was when I wrote it. But I would now simply pass on this one and move on. With the minor issues I had, I was ok with it, but now that it is completely dead after less than two years, no way I could recommend to anyone to get this particular unit.We have this installed and in use for about 6 months now. We use ice all day, every day. In addition to many beverages, both of our dogs have been trained using ice cubes as treats, so ice gets used up pretty fast. (to the dog thing our giant mastiff can handle the cubes from this machine, but the smaller dog gets ice from the built in one in our fridge, much smaller... just in case you are worried about them).Almost everything about this machine is good. Super easy to install, no drain needed, makes a ton of ice. Not loud or anything. The negatives are, as at least a few others mentioned, this thing ends up more or less freezing everything in it to a giant block except the most recent top layers. Once every few weeks I get too annoyed and dump the whole thing and defrost it. It's not a big deal, but it's annoying. The whole unit does frost up a bit from time to time around the ice maker too, but so far has not yet caused a problem. Sometimes you get a block of 2 to 8 "cubes" stuck together too. Can usually just bust those up with the scoop though. Now, going back to to the whole thing freezing into a block - it's absolutely true that when it gets too frozen up you WILL hurt yourself trying to get a few pieces out of the giant block of ice. That's usually the point I defrost it. We also replaced the plastic ice scoop that is shipped with it with a metal restaurant grade scoop. That helps, a little, with breaking up the ice, but not enough - and note, you obviously can't store that inside the machine.Would I buy it again? Probably not, but I'm also not going to replace it anytime soon unless it dies on me.I gave it a 3 out of 5. It's probably a 3.5, but it's few problems are enough of a problem at this price point to have me rounding down, not up on my star rating. At half the cost I would have given it a solid 4, but at this price point, no way.

Best customer service!
The first ice maker we got fit the space very well, looked good but stopped working after 10 days. Just one easy phone call to the company and they sent us a replacement ice maker that arrived within 1 week. The new one has been working great. Really was the best customer service we ever had. Five stars from me!!!!

Waste of money!
The unit arrived with cosmetic damage, the shipping packing is not adequate. Installation is very easy but the compressor and the insulation of the housing are not sufficient to keep the ice completely frozen. You need to dump out the bin frequently or you end up with a ~20lb block of ice. I've had the unit for less than a year and it has now stopped working completely.

Overall it is good
I picked this model because the layout of our downstairs bar placed it away from a drain. It makes lots of ice fast. If you don't use it regularly, it frosts up and requires a defrost but overall I recommend it.

Quiet running works as advertised.
Arrived damaged, repaired sheet metal and put a new "foot" on it but certainly fedex or ups usual crap, not the manufacturer. Unit is icing up after a month and Ive defrosted it once. This thing is ok if you are proned to entertaining, time will tell whether its worth de-icing every few weeks for regular use. No drain is huge though, I did not need another complication to go wrong at some point and flood the kitchen. Finish is as shown, nice looking unit and does make a lot of ice quickly.

Built-in freezer! No drain line needed, very quiet!
Update: Almost 2 year later and I still love this ice maker! The only maintenance that I perform is that if there are long durations between use, I’ll have to dump the ice and defrost the ice maker, but this is typical with any freezer. I’ll do this if I haven’t been using the ice for a while and I want a bucket of fresh ice the next day. It’ll start making ice right away but it’ll take a days to fill the bucket.*****Love this ice maker. This was the only undercounter unit I found that had a built in freezer so that the ice doesn’t melt after it’s made. Door is reversible, which I did, it only took a few minutes to change it around. The unit itself is very quiet.I installed an inline water filter so that the unit makes ice with filtered water, everywhere I read said that this will extend the life of unit as there won’t be any build up in the internal waterlines. The ice comes out super clear, glad I did this.At first I was a little annoyed that there wasn’t a built in water filter, but then I realized I preferred that it didn’t have a built in filter because I was able to install my own heavy-duty filter and not rely on a filter only provided by this manufacturer. It’s an expensive ice maker for sure, but it’s a really well made one. It took about a day to make ice to fill it’s bin, but it so convenient not to worry about drinking ice for my parties now.

Frosts up Continually
We have used this product for two years. It is great at making ice, however, it frosts up after a few weeks or sooner to the extent that I must defrost the unit and start ice making all over. And, as with numerous other reviews, if you do not use all of the ice, the bottom 2/3 of the ice is frozen into a solid block of ice. Again, I empty the bin and start ice making all over.
