Will this fit any tripod? also, is it possible to attach a phone holder to the end, instead of using a dslr? thanks!

Yes if you have a similar tripod as shown. I have the Red-colored Neewer carbon fiber tripod.  I just unscrewed my ball head mount from my pod and put it in its place. Yes, you can attach a phone holder. I know because I've done the same thing with my iPhone 11 to create a quick video lesson. As a bonus, you can connect both tubes to make one long tube. Since you are using just a smartphone, I don't think there would be any issue with stress on the bolt connecting the two. For a large DSLR, I have to put the connecting point in the clasp to support the bolt as I put a rather heavy sandbag on the other end.

Will this fit on a manfrotto tripod?

Manfrotto has many models of tripods and I don’t know which one you have, so must go with what has been a set of standards for tripods and accessories for decades. There are basically two sizes of connectors (nuts and bolts) 1/4 x 20 and 3/8 x 16. That is one quarter inch by 20 threads per inch and three eighths inch by 16 threads per inch. The Neewer boom accessory in question uses 3/8 x 16 for all attachment points. If your tripod has that size, problem solved. If your tripod has 1/4 x 20 attachment, all you have to do is buy a 3/8 x 16 to 1/4 x 20 bushing adapter. Any camera dealer should sell the requisite adapter bushing for pennies. Not really pennies, but certainly not more than a dollar or so. Good luck.

Does the camera mounting screw work with the Sony a6000?

I use a A6400 on mine, but i also installed a ball head, they have adapter mount screws that will convert 1/4 to 3/8 or visa versa, so you can basically rig any camera to any camera gear...
